Word around the Caulfield race track Saturday was he might have a job at the VRC or Caulfield race club. I was too drunk to remember which exactly but sounding like he is lining up his next job.

Did anyone watch Gawns speech at the GF? Really cringe bit where he started going on about the 2021 flag and the journey to get there, then said we'd be back up there in 2025 or 2026.

We've all acknowledged max gets left out to dry as a face for the club because they're too scared goody might faint again, but his blind optimism is frustrating sometimes. Can't help but feel the club doesn't get it even after this year.

Well embarrassment is a reoccurring commodity in the AFL these days, Gawn is just a symptom.

It's like the whole mantra of the club changed going into 22. Remember the leaders talking about not disrespecting their team mates in any circumstance? Celebrating the little victories? Having each other's backs? That all seemed to go out the window post premiership. You can argue all you like about us having poor years in 22 and 23 and what might have cost us, but reality is we weren't that far off it and s* like this can be the difference to mindset and energy and winning a flag.
