More to the point that 823 came in 150 overs, so 5.5 runs per over which is just ridiculous. Root and Brook with a 4th wicket partnership of 454!

Really weird setup this year isn't it? Kinda like one huge round robin but sort of half-arsed?
I'll set the scene; Game 1 of the World Series, LA Dodgers down by one run in the bottom of the 10th, 2 outs, bases loaded, NY Yankees are one out from winning and then this (turn the volume up when you play):

It was the first picth as Yankees had just brought in Cortes the pitcher to close out the batter (Freeman) which was a massive risk but the previous pitcher (Cousins) had given up some earned runs. But to think the Yanks started the 10 innings with Weaver and churned through two more pitchers to wind up with that was horrendous.
