Game 3 of the ABLCS is tonight.

Game 1 in Perth went to 13 innings before Perth won 4-3. The game finished at 1:45am Adelaide time!

Last night, the sides back it up in Adelaide where the Giants overran the Heat 6-3.

So it all comes down to tonight

And the Giants go back to back, winning game 3 3-1.

What a series!

Giants took an early 1-0 lead, which they held until the 7th when the Heat tied it up.

Step up Briley Knight.

The one change into the side from last night (replacing Anthony Quiruon) takes a screamer of a catch, hurts himself in the process, but still throws the ball back to home plate to prevent a run for home from Perth.

He shrugs off the injury and back to right field he goes.

Then bottom of the 8th, 2 outs, 1-2 count, and Briley Knight drops it into the corner of right field for a 2 run double to make it 3-1.

After Cade Fergus gets on base, Nick Ward steps up, and nearly, oh so nearly scores a homer, but it went on the wrong side of the foul pole. Ward is then hit by pitch to load the bases. It pays off as Spence can’t cash in and we go to the 9th.

Top of the 9th, and the finisher GOAT (and series MVP) Todd Van Steensel steps up to pitch.

First out is dramatic - not only does the Perth player strike out, he gets tossed!

Then Perth hit 2 base hits.

Giants respond with the second out.

Then Liam Spence makes a tricky catch from a broken bat and the Giants go back to back!

In a series that had everything - including the Claxton Shield being blown over by a wind gust and breaking before the presentation, the Giants win it all - again!

I watched it last night. Well done by the Giants. Deserve that win. those 2 runs in the 8th innings came at a good time and the 9th innings a heart stopper.
Looked a good-sized crowd out there.
Baseball is an underrated sport. Seems something is happening all the time whether batting or fielding.

Alex appeared stressed when he won his last match. Last point of the match as well.:(

Alex de Minaur’s Wimbledon charge has ended in disaster after the Aussie had to withdraw from his quarterfinal clash with world No. 2 Novak Djokovic with a hip injury.

Just turned on Fox. Thunderbirds are minor Netball champions.

And in a scheduling fail, they have to play their semi final at Findon because the Entertainment Centre has Monster Trucks on next weekend.

Surely that can be moved to Wayville so the girls get to play on their home court.

Didn't know Findon was still operational. Grandkids went there recently for a gymnastics event. Daughter said it looked run down apart from the court.

It's still there. I believe Charles Sturt council are planning to set it up like a recreation centre with a heap of additional courts for social matches.

The Lightning still play there and the few times I've been to Lightning games there it feels like you're sitting in an abandoned stadium.
