Fuming. Everyone at the ground saw the same thing. Siren - then just as it ended - kick.

Thats not the reason we lost though. We should have been up. Can't just blame that.

It is the reason though, if the goal isn’t allowed then Clarence win 🤷‍♂️

Clearly a goal, youtube replay shows it, stuck er on the boot with a second left and it floated through.

Not sure what Paul Kennedy was thinking with team structure .i travelled up to launceston to watch the magpies.no wonder they sit where they are on the ladder'he had a player from the start to finish all day in the face of a launceston player, looked like the launceston player was doing a tag role on a clenorchy player, the second clenorchy player who not once looked at the football or the play all day continued to block the launny player and putting his head all day into the launny player.this was a disgrace to you Paul on this coaching antic.the umpires did not blow the whistle once, how can you block a player all day and grabbing him all day without the umpires blowing the whistle.well done to the launny player who had 2 players on him all day.iam a Maggie fan, poor coaching Paul Kennedy.time for a restructure.

Actually, I was referring to the speed of sound. Replay showed a very short gap between kick and siren, so I'm thinking 100m would make one side of the ground legitimately call it as a different result to the other. Siren was probably based next to the plebs though, so it's probably Phil's natural bias that made him sense an injustice...!

45/57. Demons, Blues and Tigers...

Quite possibly on the money here Gibbke . Goal umpiring my very first VAFA A Section game, a goal was scored on full time. Looked OK to me, fieldie gave the all clear, I waved the goal and the other fieldie came running in from the other end of the ground to say it was just late. It didn't make any difference to the outcome, but he made such a fuss over it we had to disallow the score. None of the opposition players disputed the goal.

A second can be a long time! Might copy that video onto Premier Pro and count the number of frames between kick and siren, and then extrapolate how far the siren had to be away from ears for the perception of siren-first to be accurate, based upon a speed of sound of 340m per second...or I could just get a life and try to enjoy my weekend because it wasn't South being robbed...

NHFC by 20 over a struggling Glenorchy at KGV
KT by 10 over NL. Tigers playing their best football may just get the chocolates tomorrow, Should be a good game.
Launceston by 20 over Clarence. Launy may feel their legs after the last 2 weeks on a very boggy home ground, Should still be too strong.

Interesting that PK will stay on at the pies in a different role. I did hear Cornelius maybe moving back to TAS but club stated they are after a senior playing coach. Watch this space.
Also good to see the southern bombers senior core of players re-signing. Christensen, McGuinness, Walsh, Sutton, Franklin, Smith and co. Great for the comp!
