Saw that today and wondered what happened.
Very poor from the coach if that's the case, should be suspended, won't happen though.
Blues starting to drink their own bathwater a bit this year.

I love the TSL and everything it does except the disparity between north and south. Unfortunately the biggest thing of interest in the next fortnight will be the unfortunate sole from Launceston who will be dropped so M Thorpe can play his only game of the year.
 
The last all Southern Grand Final was 2009. A whole generation has passed without seeing rivals playing a gf like a Clarence vs Lauderdale or a North Hobart vs Glenorchy. 13 years long. It’s not good enough and has resulted in a real lack of interest down here. It will end 2023 though.

Kingston is a terrible ground when two teams bring the pressure like today. Neither team looked like scoring.

Tigers are 3-0 v Clarence this year so you’d think they’d start heavy favourites at home. Neither are beating Launceston, but I reckon Clarence would run them closer than Tigers
 
Why wouldn’t all the games be played at Kingborough this week? Every other league all games would be played where the senior club hosting is at.
Launie vs Tigers (18s)
Launie vs North Hobart (Dev)
Tigers va Clarence (Seniors)

Should all be at Kingston to pool resources etc. would make for a bigger crowd also.
 
Kingborough & Launy played good game of footy at start of the year. Launy were better but decent game. The last three meetings then difference was 26, 13 & 33. Three games since difference is 82, 78 & 91. Shame to see Kingborough drop away from challenging so badly.

Clarence didn't show skill under pressure against the Dale you need to beat Launy either. But if Tigers big fella isn't back then Clarence might win prelim. 50/50 game anyway. Roos might be better challenge for Launy on big ground at Yorke. They do have lots of run.
 
What was the AFL Tas CEO doing at OSFA grand final on Satruday rather than being at the TSL semis? Not a good look when surely he should be promoting the highest level of footy in the State. What does it say about the future of the TSL or was the opportunity for some party pies and free beer too good to resist?

Gonna be in the minority here, but AFL Tas are meant to represent football for the state, not just the State League.

So attending a Grand Final is a good sign. If he is at the TSL Granny also, what is the issue.

People bitch when AFL Tas is 100% TSL. Bitch when they aren't.

And people who have been here a while know I am no AFL Tas apologist.

Rain forecast I think helps Tigers.
They have defeated Clarence 4 times this year.
Tigers by 15.
In saying that I do believe Clarence would give a better game on UTAS next week. Especially if Devils lose.

Garland retired. Judging by the FB post seems to be a big loss for Clarence on and off the field.
 
Watched replay of prelim. Top game. Great ad for TSL football. Both teams played well. Clarence cleaner & fitter but Kingbourough better in the contest. Young Adams is a player. Smith very good on Lane but Lane changed game in last quarter.

Tigers goalkicking nearly cost them. It's been poor all second half of season. Need to be spot on with it to be a contest this week.

Anyone know who Kingborough are playing today? If you relied on the Mercury you’d be unaware as there’s been avalanche coverage of the Tigers but very little by comparison about their opponents.

God help us if the Tigers win today there will be more articles in the Mercury about it than there has been about the Queen.

The Mercury is based in southern Tasmania, hence the mass coverage tigers are getting.. I’m sure the Launceston Examiner is doing the exact same but in the favour of the blues.
