Injured and then straight back in. Might face a fitness test.

Personally I expect him to line up, but I can understand some people not being sure.

I think the thing about this is that Sheedy isn't going to be too smoke and mirrors with a kid's senior AFL debut. If a player is named in the first eighteen for his debut game, it would take something extraordinary for him to be taken out of the side.

Got subbed off in the end. :(

Hi , on Kennedy he definitely seems like a bargain pick up...

Any of you have any idea who would be coming into side rd 2 ... eg if macdonald get rubbed out ... is treloar close to be back ?? miles a chance ??

Is Sam Darley a chacne for round 2? I heard somewhere he only had a stomach bug and kept him in my team for that reason!

Darley played in the Giants v Swans reserves match, prior to the main game. The Giants lost badly and no mention of Darley being in their best. That suggests to me that he's not close to playing a game purely on form so his playing in round 2 seems only likely if its part of a rotation policy.

Thanks for that - bugger! That could be a bad choice, if he plays a very unique one.

Re: Round 2: GWS vs North Melb @ Blundstone Arena (Sunday 8 April)

Hey GWS Lads. Will Sam Darley play this year? (much?)

Will Hombsch & Townsend play this weekend ?

Re: Round 2: GWS vs North Melb @ Blundstone Arena (Sunday 8 April)

I was somewhat surprised at all the Darley hype preseason so it doesn't really surprise me now - he looks like a reserves special for the time being. Unless we start some really solid rotating of youngsters (which we may, but probably later) he won't get a show until he lights up the reserves.

Is there much difference between the JS of Kennedy and Cameron ? Considering making the swap...

IMHO, Cameron is likely to play more games this season than Kennedy, if for no other reason than the higher toll on a young body playing in the Giants defense rather than attack. However, it also means that when Kennedy plays he is more likely to have higher DT scores than Cameron.

IMHO, as my previous post on Darley suggested he does appear to be demanding a game, so is only likely to get his chance when young player management takes affect. Unless he grabs the coaches attention when that chance comes he looks unlikely to play much.

Having put in such a great effort against the Swans and having 2 weeks to recover the only definite changes are Power in for MacDonald and Scully in for a midfielder. Therefore, I think Hombsch will play, Townsend 50/50.

hey guys, any chance Anthony Miles will be playing any games this year?

Sheedy in his Round 2 team announcement mentioned Treloar, Darley and Phillips as being close to getting a game. No mention of Miles so, although he'll probably get a game at some stage, he isn't likely to get a game soon. GWS do have an abundance of midfielders so there is lots of competition for limited positions.
