Only speculating here, but a more plausible explanation might be that Tredrea has gotten wind of a Port player being asked if he's willing to be traded to Carlton and that would be it. Players obviously talk and this stuff would get out quite easily.

As for the player/s the club might be looking to get in return I doubt he would have any more of a clue than us. His line of thinking would most likely be "Gibbs is South Australian and might want to come home", which is extremely unlikely anyway.

Yeah, definitely more plausible and would register as smoke - WGT knows something about a potential trade with Carlton.

Gibbs's stats aren't that much better than Bernie Vince, though Gibbs has about 4 years on Vince.

But when has Vince stood up and won the game off his own back?

Gibbs did it two weeks in a row, against us to get them into the finals and against Richmond in the finals. Do remember, Gibbs gets played as a lock down player a lot of the time as well, which I think is stupid.

But I do agree with you that getting Gibbs is a bit of a pipe dream.

My mail is that Port are into Matt Rosa. Source: I opened up an AFL record I had lying around, picked a random page, closed my eyes and pointed at the page. When I opened my eyes, my finger was on Rosa's name.

Of course, this rumour has no credibility or basis in fact whatsoever, but if we're posting Andrew Jarman rumours it'll fit right in.

just on Gibbs i used to play indoor cricket against him and Ross before he was traded.. he was 15 at the time

we were playing on the next court when all of the sudden there was a big ruckus coming from the court the Gibbs' were playing.

Turns out that Bryce was giving one of the other players alot of mouth all game and then during a run he hip and shouldered the bowler who then punched Bryce in the face...giving him a bloody snout

Ross was going absolutely troppo... it was hilarious

Bryce was a cocky little mouthy shit back then

Is Jarman a troll? lol Gibbs has already said has has no intention of even moving back to Adelaide even after he retires, don't think this rumor is true at all.

Jarman is a born again idiot, he wasn't a big enough idiot first time round so he went away for a while & on his return, this is what we've got.
