We can't afford the Islamophobia which is rampant in the Society and Religion board anymore, now that we're in the age of Trump and ISIS, who both use this bigotry for their own purposes. Yet the SRP board have just presumed that this is a jihadist attack, while even lunatics like Trump are keeping their powder dry until they have more information.

Maybe Chief can do something about it.

It was deleted, are you saying the deletion itself renders it invalid?

There is no reason to delete that kind of thread, the fact is that the response to this is rather over the top, compared to other problems and devastation which is ignored. It's important in the Trump and ISIS era to bring perspective on things because these are two forces which are trying to inflict mass hysteria on all of us.

Feel free to response with some sort of argument rather than pejoratives.

It is a reality I’m afraid that London, New York, other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things,” Khan told the London Evening Standard.

“That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice.”

Terrorist attacks, Khan added, are “part and parcel of living in a big city.”

Terrible.

Still feels a million miles away even though I could see the helicopters from my office.

Seeing as the attacks are just lone wolves driving into people its amazing it doesn't happen more often.
