ESSENDON veteran Brendon Goddard is ready to step into the shoes of Dustin Fletcher and become Australia's goalkeeper for the Virgin Australia International Rules Series against Ireland.

Now I'm not one to give two shits about the international rules, but I must admit it might actually be worth tuning in to see BJ play the role he was born to play...

So what do we think Bay, is he the best man for the job? Or can we do better?

New selection policy prioritises AA representatives (even if they were from years before) over just regular players so that we don't end up with the likes of Jake King getting selected again. I'm fully expecting Lumumba to use this loophole and come out of retirement for this just so he can kneel during the national anthem.
