Just reported on Ch7, Essendon has offered Goddard around $750K a year for 4 years. St.Kilda has 3 days to match or better the offer under the restricted free agency.

Will Goddard troll the Saints and go through with it ending up with the Bummers, or will Goddard be held back by the child fiddlers for another 3-4 years of contraversy and shameful pictures of Zac looking and Nick's dick?

I don't get it, this screams that Essendon are pushing for a Premiership in the next 2 years (let's face it, thats all Goddard has left) by plugging a specific gap, but their record and form line suggest they will remain mid level plodders until another rebuild.

Is this just another membership ploy by their leaders like Hirdy coaching for memberships instead of success ?

Well either option is better than Failscray where he'd have no chance of success.

Stay on topic flog, if that is possible for you at all

It's a done deal. And he does fill a role for us. And we will win a Premiership REAL soon now. We de-railed this year through injury but the time is coming. 17 is soon. :thumbsu:

(Also wait till you see who else we get!)

Pretty sure you both have the same amount of premierships.

Pretty sure they have a better win/loss ratio in grand finals.

I'm not sure how you figure that, unless you're talking about spoons in which case you're a clear winner.

Pretty sure making a Grand Final is better than not

Pretty sure we've beaten them every time since 2008

Pretty sure they haven't made a Grand Final since 1961

Pretty sure you're a flog.

Who else .. hmmm, what other past their prime players looking for a retirement plan are on the market ?

Get back on topic... Do you thing Goddard will stay or go.. The word is hard on Goddard leaving for Essendon and to keep him, St.Kilda would have to match it or better the offer, but who would they turf in favour of keeping Goddard (salary cap constraints)

will match. easy.

no chance, hasn't played 750k football for more than 2 years and certainly won't be in 4 years time.

Would like to keep him but you have to be realistic, Essendon are paying for the name.

I can read between the lines here. Lot of people in fear as they foresee Watson and Goddard carving up their midfield.

another oversized plodding midfielder at Essendon doesn't scare us, we're thankful though he didn't end up somewhere like Richmond where his skills would have suited much better.

ooh yeah... i know what your saying another smart midfielder with mad kicking and handball skills.

I heard Hayes borrowed Watson's second heart for the season. Watson didn't need it because his first was so flipping huge!
