I was wondering if he gets suspended. Looking at footage it appears, he hit the ball first with fist and then head with forearm. It should be fine

Hit the ball first? Haha.He should be suspended. He's lucky it was Jacob Koschitzke.
The fact that he got up and kicked a goal shouldn't matter. It had intent to cause injury.
If it was the other way around, people on here would be begging for blood.

Problem is it is quite late. Going for the ball, but the ball had already been marked. Not a good look.Hit the ball first? Haha.
It was still late, well after he marked the ball.Hit the ball first? Haha.
I have no problem with one week. But quite often players get away with fine when they hit the ball first. I actually remember players hitting head when spoiling without touching ball and not even pay fine. Van Rooyen hitting Ballard springs into my mind (ball was nowhere near). It was still late, well after he marked the ball.
It was incrediblely stupid, especially for a player whose captain of the side.
It should be a week, but may get off for the fact that Jacob got up and kicked the goal after.
It shouldn't matter if Jacob got up, but it will.

I believe that the club will argue the case that Tsitas was late but got the ball first and Jacob got up immediately and kicked a goal.I have no problem with one week. I would say, nobody worries about Tsitas (unless you count a couple of Suns fans) but I agree head should be sacrosanct in today's environment and players have duty of care. Lawsuits pending for hundreds of millions of dollars will teach AFL a lesson. IMO, Angus Brayshaw case shows AFL is still not there. Weitering not being concussion assessed during the game is another example of s**t system (despite clearly hit on chin and stumbling by watching replay On The Couch yesterday).I believe that the club will argue the case that Tsitas was late but got the ball first and Jacob got up immediately and kicked a goal.
In that case, it will likely be a fine.
But that shouldn't be the case, especially with the imminent threat of a class action lawsuit against the AFL from ex players.
The AFL really needs to crack down on these sorts of actions and actually show a level of duty of care to the players instead of worrying about "fans" online.

It's like they're trying to make it a meme. Head hits should be taken extremely seriously in the AFL world.

Players just need to focus on Sunday's game not on this. Great that they are caring for their skipper but they really just need to focus on the Grand Final. The decision will be made and take care of itself.Players going with it too

He is a big loss
The loss of Tsitas is far more of a detriment to our GF hopes than the team getting behind him on socials.
"Need to focus on the Grand Final" JFC guys its Tuesday
Leo can step upHe is a big loss
Totally agree and it will be hard to overcome......but he's not there now.......so build the bridge, and move on........or play the victim card like the Demons, and dwell on "why is everyone against us" 'our mate was knocked out".....boo hoo! poor us!He is a big loss
