So nervous and excited about today, it really would be a fantastic way to start the new era.

Go Suns
It may “only” be the VFL, but it feels so absurd being nervous getting ready to support the Suns in a grand final. I genuinely have never felt this before.

Say what you want about the club and what this means, but this is a groundbreaking day.

Don't let anyone tell you it isn't a big deal. When the Bears won the AFL reserves flag in 1991 after five years of nothing, it provided desperately-needed nourishment and optimism for supporters. And even though we didn't break through for a premiership for another 10 years it still provided one player for that senior premiership team - the Norm Smith Medalist in fact. Go well and enjoy the day.

I am probably minority, but I am not nervous at all. I was more nervous watching girls against Collingwood.

Sure, it would be good to win for players and the club but it's just VFL considered by the club as a development tool.

It was to be expected to go deep in finals when we loaded rookie list with mature glass-break back up players like Tsitas, McLaughlin, Blakely, Stein, Constable and with minimal injuries this year. We played routinely 18-21 AFL listed players. Having players like Graham, Farrar, Davies, Jeffrey, Sexton, Chol, Day, Sharp, Hollands, Moyle and so on is a great luxury.

Ultimately, it's great for young players like Uwland, Johnston, Brock having opportunities to develop on a good team. Some academy kids got opportunities too.

Yes, I want us to win but I am most excited about Lombard playing again. Hopefully, Chol and Johnston will take some spectacular marks. It is probably the last game for Chol if we believe media. I am a bit sad about it. Despite being lazy sometimes I sure enjoyed watching him.

Last game for Sharp, Blakely and possibly Stein, Burgess, Hollands, Constable, Blakely, McLaughlin, Ace, Faulkhead, Day too.

Moyle to dominate, please.

It does feel wrong and unfair that it is down in VIC given we finished on top of the ladder it should’ve been at heritage bank stadium to give the players an advantage for finishing in top spot. Despite this I’m confident the lads will get great support down in VIC today.
Two years in a row we've seen this issue pop up and it likely would have been three years had COVID not cancelled the 2021 VFL finals as Southport were on their way to a GF that season. Fortunately for the AFL they had the 1st placed Casey Demons beat Brisbane in the prelim last year so they rightfully hosted the GF in Melbourne against the Southport Sharks. We did make a tiny step forward this year by having the AFL concede to an all-Queensland GF being played in Springfield (again, not our home ground/city but at least our home state) but in reality the top ranked GF qualifier should have the right to host in their home city. We should all be walking into Heritage Bank Stadium right now cheering on our boys to the club's first ever premiership.

How good was that from Ace & Burgess!

Chol kicks our second goal and we are playing some really exciting footy right now!

Lake is a desperate player, Dew would love him
Got some wheels on him too and we know we're in desperate need of speed at the AFL level. What's his background? Google suggests he's a 175cm overage academy player player who was an Ormeau/Labrador junior. Could be worth a rookie spot with the way he's playing today.
