I think they should be looking at a deep red but might’ve avoided that due to their local rival using maroon pretty prominently. Strangely, as shit as their current colours are, the shades match well with each other. Hoping the shades they’ve gone for aren’t what we’ve seen. Chances are it’s a combination of the original picture being a zoomed in gif, then compressed due to being uploaded to TikTok.
I think you will be very close, if the Mac Andrew tease is legit, looks like no different collar and that darker blue. I hope they show a bit more ambition.

It reads weirdly, some think he doesn't like the logo, others think he doesn't like the leak. I doubt he would come out and say he doesn't like the logo if thats the one they are going with.
inb4 the logo that was leaked was an intentional red herring to lower our expectations

Can definitely see it being a bit of a many-washes-of-red gradient as a base, a big yellow logo, and that shithouse looking Canva swirl that looks like the brand identity of a 2010s version of Windows. going for a million things and doing none of them.
I did really like the sand yellow but when you realise the Dolphins, who play an hour away, have the same colour combination then it's just cancelled out.
Always thought they should have just gone an Atlanta Hawks red, white, and yellow because the white makes it seem a bit 'cooler' (as in the temperature) and summery while keeping the red and yellow away from that unworkable red and yellow contrast.
Feel like Gold Coast as a place and their name is trouble enough. you sort of have heaps to play with but in doing so, nothing really suitable to a footy jumper.
In a way, the uglier and grittier your area the more appropriate it is for a footy club. dour colours and tough identities lend way better to our sport. if this was a new A-League or Twenty 20 franchise then you could have a field day.

The Suns logo was the only thing they had going for them as a club. Execution-wise there's a few things I'd change but otherwise the interlocked 'GC' looked classy and it was a great attempt at a modern take on the monogram. But most importantly, it looked like a logo belonging to a professional sport organisation. While this leaked logo is no where near as bad as the new Crows logo, but it just doesn't fit the brief for an AFL logo. Sure it looks great... if it were a logo for a credit card or ride share company.
Some might say 'who cares, it's not like it's your own clubs logo' in which case they are missing the point. In my mind, the presentation of the league as a whole is very important and in comparison to the NBA, NFL, EPL etc it's starting to look bush league. Clubs are so desperate to capture that 'iconic' logo that will be remembered for decades without wanting to do any of the work to achieve it or even getting someone with the capabilities to do it.
