Good luck to all that start this week.... then stop... then start... then stop.... then start....again!

Wandella v Quamby -mmmm bombers.
Macorna v Nully - Nully by 21pts
Hay v Ultima -Hay by 34pts
Moulamein v Wakool -Moula by 10 goals

PS- If any Murrabit kid is good enough to play senior football, he will be treated as a local and rewarded if in best players. Simple.

How ridiculous is the new down field rule!!!!!!!:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

It is quite harsh. But remember you can limit how many times the umpires can pay that particular 'free goal' by playing within the rules. New rule so the boys must now adapt to it.
Good to see the Wakool boys being competitive against Moulville. Things are looking on the up out there.
In regards to the GRFL website: Do they have a full time administrator updating it, or is it a love job from someone within the GRFL Board circle?

getting a bit quiet on here:thumbsdown:

Few Tips:
Nullawil V Moulamein: Moulamein have been rite up there in the past couple of seasons, will be match of the round for sure. Bannam still playing at Moula will catch Nully a bit offside, but the likes of Smith, Hewitt and Ryan's should get Nully over the line but will be a tough game.
Macorna V Ultima: Macorna should bounce back after last weekend. A fully fit Metro will be hard to take down. Showdown of the year could unwind with Dedini on Metro, Josh White will also have to be watched as he kicked 5 majors last week. Tiges for me
Murrabit V Wakool: With the Murrabit blokes only playin 1 match in 4 weeks they will be pumped to get out and show the league wat they have to offer this year. Who will play Full Forward, Henry McGowan or Dwyer? Wakool, although put in a gallant effort last weekend will struggle to man up on this tall timber and will find it hard to stop the likes of the Heins through the midfield. Murrabit comfortably
Hay V Wandella: WIll be much closer than people anticiapte. Hay have picked up the likes of Hooker and a few others that can most certainly play the game. Wandella on the other hand did win the flag last season, and still have a very solid list. Bombers, but only by around 5 goals

Wakool are still on the hunt for some talls. Been in talks with Deni Rovers Full back and ruckman for a very large sum of money.

More tips for Round 2

Nully & Moula - very close game, no wedding this week so expect Moula to put in a better performance..... Nully coz of home ground advantage
Macorna over Ultima.
Murrabit to beat a young Wakool side
Wandella to lead early but hay to finish strongly to win by less than 10

Tips:
Murrabit to come out and cast Wakool aside with Billy and Nats to kick 15 between them. Murrabit by 80+.
Nullawil and Moulamein to have a great showdown but home ground advantage will see Nullawil home by 2 goals.
Macorna to come out after the round 1 loss and defeat Ultima. Metro and Dedini will be a great tussle as Nackas alluded to. Tigers by 6 goals.
Wandella to defeat Hay by around 5 goals. The Bombers have a bit better depth than Hay but expect Hooker to take a contender for mark of the year and this will be on a weekly basis.

Good to see Will Callow on the track, had a bit of a kick on his damaged foot so hopefully not too far away from resuming. :thumbsu:

Was the downfield rule umpired in the same way this week? Just wondering how consistent it is amongst the umpires.

Down field rule has either changed or was umpired wrong week 1. Much better now, pretty much the same as it always has been. A lot easier for the umpires as well.

Nulli are the 2009 premiers.

DONT GET TO FAR AHEAD OF YOUR SELF THERE can play.
WE HAVE ONLY PLAYED TWO GAMES OF FOOTY, ALOT OF THINGS CAN HAPPEN BEFOR SEPTEMBER.

iT WOULDNT BE THE WORST THING IF EVERYONE STARTED TO BELIVE THAT EVERYONE ELSE CAN FLY UNDER THE RAIDER.

I THINK THEY ONLY BEAT MACORNA BY ABOUT 25-30 POINTS!

I have just read the Swan Hill Guardian and it has a letter to the editor from David Landini, Wakool. He is complaining about under 14 kids in the GRFL having to wear helmets. I'm not sure what he thought the outcome would be sending this letter to the Guardian, perhaps he should try the league, coz I'm tipping Swan Hill residents and communities north don't really give two hoots about it!!
