Wandella to break their recent bad luck in Grand Finals against the blues This saturday...

Well done to Luke Maher. Has been a fantastic player for Quamby for years now and certainly deserves the accolades

seems to be a biannual pattern forming.
how many grand finals in a row is this now for nulli twos?

I think it is 7
-----------
Is there anyone who has played in all of them? would be a fair effort

Off the top of my head I reckon that Luke "Nugget" Hogan may well have played in every one, pending on injury, not too sure. Jarrod Tomlins maybe another who has potentially played in all, but they would be the only two i think?

Well done to Luke Maher. Has been a fantastic player for Quamby for years now and certainly deserves the accolades.Should have won it the past 3 years. Was Murray a late pull out in Nullawil side beacuse they needed him. He should carve it up in the 2's this week.

Well it is hump day in the biggest week in GRFL footy!!
Opinions should be close to being formed.
If both sides were to come out fully fit and with their strongest teams, WHO WILL WIN IT?? And by how much??

One is for sure...
The start of the day will seem strange to the Wandella folk. No U17s playing to get their premiership assault in the following grades a kick start. But all things being fair...the seniors and reserves GFs are going to be DELICIOUS.

Well done to the Award winners on the League Vote count night.

Tips for the big one fellas

U/17: Hay's bigger bodies may get them over the line.

Reserves: Hopefully Nully

Seniors: Murrabit to take out the big one by a couple of goals.

Good luck to everyone

U/17: Most likely Murrabit but wouldnt be surprised if Hay got over the line.

Reserves: Wandella to end Nully's streak, if they can manage to get a fully fit side.

Seniors: 3 losses in 5 seasons against murrabit in GF's will be too much for the Bombers. Wandella to go Back-to-back.

My tip is Murrabit.

Dean McGowan
Bus Dwyer
Josh Pearce
Nathan Henry

In fine conditions I cannot see this quartet being contained.

If Brad Hein and Leigh Millard, fine distributors of the pill, can break even in the middle then the Blues should amass a winning total.

Chamberlain, Gillingham, Taylor will need to play out of their skins to return a result in their favour.

I understand that you underestimate Wandella at your own peril, but having studied Murrabit closely last week it's hard to make a case for the Bombers.

With the likely return of Hall, Murrabit will possess plenty of leg speed coupled with quality disposal. Pete Moore must put on a clinic to give his side a chance, he has had a wonderful year and will be intrigued to see how he performs on the big stage. Lancaster is always reliable down back and may find himself thrown from pillar to post at different stages in an attempt to shut down his oppositions most prominent forward.

Look for Billy McGowan to be the best man afield, knows the Quamby ground better than any other player and is a big time performer.

Murrabit by 28.

I think you're right about Nugget. He certainly is a Legend around the Club.
Does anyone know Umpire appointments for tomorrow?

Do believe:
U/14- Lloyd Murray, Paul Robinson.
U/17- Graham Cathie, Jason Leggett
Reserves- Graham Hancock, Ross Frantz
Seniors- Brent Howden, Peter Howden, Peter Warren.

Snibs... Quality and informational post inregards to the grand day that all footballers who arnt involved, are ultra envious of. The way you transported your thoughts with cyber ink is to be commended.
Luke Maher, well done and well deserved. Luke Maher dosent play a complex style of football, he plays the ball "everytime" with no thought or care of the ramifications that may happen to him physically. Football terms, Luke Maher is a front liner.

My school of thought is that the weather will play a massive part of the out come of the ultimate game. Snibs, i certainly can make a case as to reasons why Wandella can win.

Small as the margin may have been, Wandella won the last big game between these two clubs. Both sides played their last game against eachother with persistant belief and Wandella hung on. Has to be some sought of psychological advantage right there.
Today(1.34am) will be(stating the obvious) a dry track, but a dry track to me is, firm ground and a temp of approx 16/20. My rationale into why the weather will play a massive part is neither side would have played in these conditions (28/30 im told) this year, closest being rd 1.
Now for my football lingo snibs.

Im of the belief that Wandella just shade Murrabit in the leg speed stakes, so it will get down to fittness (rotations will be critical) and feel that the two big Murrabit trucks may run out of gas by the conclusion of the contest. Callow for the medal and Wandella celebrating back to back flags to the tune of 20pts.

Either way it will be a ferocious contest in which both teams will illustrate what a grand final should be played like.
Both would be more than worthy winners..............

Will Callow BOG, not a bad effort with 3 blokes rotating in the ruck against him. The Bomber party continues in the forest!!!! Well done to Ash Wilson.....F***** top job!!

I havent heard any feed back on the day Quamby put on for the GRANY. Was there any issues with the change room fiasco? Any comments good or bad?

Hard to understand why Wandella finished on top were first into the Granny and yet still had the visitors rooms!!!

Not that it matters Parrot. The day was pretty well done I thought. The wind I understand played havoc with a few tents but otherwise all was well. Billy McGowan came into Wandella's rooms after the game and revealed it was his first ever Grand Final which is hard to believe given his long career with some good teams. Wandella's young blokes I hope took note of this and not think that premierships are handed out on silver platters. No doubt Murrabit and others will go on fierce recruiting drives for next year to knock the Bombers off.

I hear on the grapevine that Ultima have started there recruiting drive already. First signing is the big Fella from Tyntynder, and i dont mean Carroll. Monz is head of recruiting and asking questions everywhere.
OToole's, Dedini's, Mahons it sounds like a family affair.
Might be going to upset a few at the kennel from what i hear

So Monz has finished as President at Tyntynder and headed out to Ultima??

Unless Sarah is going out to play netball I think you will only find one Dedini out there (if he stays)
