That would be the dream.

Being a hacker you can usually tell within the first 2-3 holes how your day is going to go. I never have the motivation to warm up/hit balls at a course before playing but I find if I hit 50 balls the day before a round it helps me strike the ball a hell of a lot better.

Kind of like getting your eye in yeah.

Anyone seen those Kirkland Signature balls around? They go absolutely nuts for them in the US. They're a Costco ball and apparently comparable for pro v1's at $24/dozen.

Have played them

They're NO V1, in fact not even close

Aren't they just a Korean companies surplus 3 piece urethane ball with Kirkland on it? I didn't think it was going to be a long term supply thing.

Decision to make.

I have been playing b330rxs for about 18 months. Great ball. I can get some for $33 per doz.

Or

I can get some prov1s for $62 a doz (is that a good price?). Pro vs are the best ball I have gamed (when I find lost ones). I just haven't played them because of the price. These days I am finding I rarely lose balls - I usually retire beat up balls. So I am figuring it might be worthwhile.

$62 is about average, assuming they are the current Pro Vs.
Very rarely do they appear as a massive special.
How much better is your golf with them?

If anyone is in the area, golf world on nepean highway (in bentleigh i think?) is shutting up shop in the next 4 days I think and they've got some great bargains at the minute. They're starting to pack up so there's not as much stuff there but you might find something you like.

I dropped in to kill some time last night and didnt really need anything but picked up a new polo. asked if it was on special and the guy goes "how much do you want it for?" :thumbsu:

Ended up buying 7 doz bridgestones. Can’t beat half the price for a comparable ball.

7 doz

That'd last me 4 years if i played every fortnight

I play every week. It will last me until the next release cycle - pending luck. I retire the balls once they get rips and tears in them. But rarely do I lose any.

How'd you manage $33? That's a steal!

Is there any particular place or just what you can personally get them for

So golfbox are having a sale at the moment and they are 2 doz for 79.99. I found a golf forum which has vouchers for golfbox so I applied those on top. So it works out to like 40% off.

I will post the voucher codes when I get home from work tonight.

So what ya get?
I might look into doing the same deal. Wouldn't mind some wooden driving tees, gloves, etc.

Never really used a glove. You guys recommend wearing one?
I bought a practice net for the backyard and some tees. Net was about $95 so added the tees to get it down to $83 :thumbsu:

I've never been a big fan of wearing a glove to be honest. I keep one in my bag but only really use it if its wet.

Anyone recommend a decent budget GPS? Mainly just looking for distance front, back and centre for greens. hazards etc a bonus but not necessary.

I got a Garmin gps from Golf box around 6 months ago for $159 after my old Sureshot finally packed it in. Has front, centre and back along with hazard distances all pre loaded, great value.

Just get yourself some rechargeable batteries and a charger and your set

Edit: was going to post a link for you but looks like they are sold out, there are cheap sureshots on there though

Thanks mate, what model are you running? Although I might have to bite the bullet and grab one while theres some good specials on at golfbox.

Golfbox always have specials and before buying always ask here for a discount code!

Been hitting PB drives of late with my Ping-G15. I'm not sure of the distance but they are flying.
The funny thing is that the shaft is in 'A', which is seniors flex.

Whole game has improved a bit lately...

Assess the shot needed, pick the club, keep head still, and just concentrate on the ball and a sweet connection, and divot always after ball strike (lowest point of swing is after ball contact)..

One thing that has buggered me around in the past is starting the divot b4 getting to the ball.

Quite happy with the G15 driver (released 2009), especially after watching this review. The review starts from G20 but that model was pretty similar to the G15. And like I said, I've been ripping it of late. But I must admit, the G15 is really the only driver that I've had experience with, well along with the piece of crap that I used to play with... Never even tested a driver at a golf shop. I'll probs rock the G15 until an Epic somehow finds it's way into my bag, but I can't see that happening any time soon...

I don’t want to watch the titleist one. I don’t want to see how much money I wasted...for titleist if it is over 5 years he will only be testing 2 or 3 drivers will their release cycles.
