Question. If you have Titleist Woods and use Mizuno irons...can you have a Taylor made bag?

No.

You need to buy stand bags based on reviews - primarily focused on weight and durability. I have no idea what taylormade bags are like but generally the best stand bags are sun mountain, ping and titleist.

I love me a stand back. agree that sun mountain especially h20 are terrific. Light weight and waterproof. And it essentially takes away from the fact your clubs maybe mismash.

This is something i bar up over. many acquaintances have these and they look great.

Is that the Links legend bag? They do look nice.

Does anyone have wide feet and can recommend a golf shoe? I’ve traditionally worn Ecco’s which have been great but the new built in tongue means the instep isn’t high enough and they’re a little narrow.

I’ve tried true links and they don’t fit. Probably need something in the realm of X-wide or 4e.

Which true links shoes did you try?

That is the bag I own and literally the only decent bag on the market.

Why weekend players want to go tour style and advertise golf club manufacturers for free on either their bag or hat is beyond me.

Would it get destroyed in the Qld tropical heat and humidity?

How about on shoes, clothes and clubs?

Got back into golf properly about 6 months ago to play with the old man in his older days. Got myself Callaway Rogue irons about 3 years ago, 3 iron to approach wedge. Also have a Callaway Jaws Raw 60 lob wedge, Odyssey white hot #9 putter, Callway Rogue driver at 8 degrees (got it second hand in a deal with the irons) and for my in between driver and 3 iron, a Cobra LTDxLS 3 wood set at 13 degrees and a Titleist TSr3 wood that I was hoping to tune towards a 5 wood but I haven't quite got the hang of so it fights with my 4 iron for a spot in my bag for Saturdays.

The other thing is I carry a 1 iron as my 14th club, but I actually use it a bit. I am more comfortable hitting long irons than most despite being a mid handicapper and I hit a high ball for whatever reason. I use it as a utility club to:
punch 100-150 metres under canopy just worm-burning at under 2 metres off the ground, using the back of it if I am against a tree and need to go opposite handed because it's a blade. Lastly, when I am hitting the ball well I can pull it out on the tee and arse one out of the middle and it's the coolest shit around.

This thing is something I picked up second hand about 15 years ago and was old then. A Titleist 990 1 iron. Sweet spot has to be about a 5 cent piece and the odds of me hitting it on a full swing are about **** all. Still love the idea though and it's hard to find anything much below the 18 degrees that my 3 iron is on the market.

Seems everyone uses hybrids or woods and long irons are near extinct but I did eventually find the Titleist U 505 1 iron that is 16 degrees and looks a lot easier to hit than my old 2002 1 iron. So anyway, I have now impulse purchased it and will report back if there are any long iron enthusiasts out there.

of whatever their widest shoes are. Can’t recall make.

Their OGs are nice and wide and the toe

I tried them, too narrow, especially in the instep. The issue is that built in instep rather than the traditional instep you see in shoes.

To their credit they had great customer service and tried to help me find a pair. But no luck unfortunately. Tried a few different styles.

Hitting a long iron well is the best part about golf. I carry a 2i and use it much the same way you do. It's my 200-210m club but gets a lot of work hitting low hooks to go under trees. I even have a 'back foot slap'which will go head height about 180m. Great fun.
