Need a Mornington Peninsula course for a birthday round in the next few weeks.
Already played Portsea, the Dunes, Eagle Ridge, Cape Schank, so I want to play something new/other than those.

Thinking between Devilbend, Flinders, Rosebud Country Club, St Andrews
Definitely St Andrew’s Beach.

Moonah Links.
Legends or Open are both good.

Given I'm a member of Devil Bend, I must say Devil Bend. I cannot disagree with the other posters though, however

Flinders I think is over rated and really just an okay course.

Stab easily, maybe one of the moonahs.

First 7 or so holes at Flinders are awesome. Naysayers will point out that it’s the ocean which makes the course, but that’s the point.

Advice for the youngsters out there. Be careful trying to cross the course on foot in the dead of night. There is one dam that is particularly easy to walk straight into. Twice. And that black plastic dam lining makes the exit very challenging.

I'm obviously biased but Lang Lang has never been in better condition. Fairways are like carpet and the greens rolling very true. Bunkers still a work in progress. They are starting to grow the rough out so there is a clearer distinction from the fariway. If you're thinking coming down for a hit it's probably a good time.

Might have to start playing some of the other South Gippsland courses as I could play pennant next year. Very familiar with Phillip Island and Leongatha and grew up playing at Woorayl, but looking forward to giving the Burra and Foster a go soon.

Members of the golf club live anywhere from the city, northern suburbs, beachside and eastern suburbs, all the way to the peninsula including on the grounds itself.

Yes, I was more curious about how many from the greater Melbourne area would make the drive every time they want to play a round. Assume its ~1hr+.

Anywhere around 80% I reckon do the 1 hour drive plus a bit. The others live at or around the club.

the drive is totally worth it.

When it first opened I was able to piggy back off my old man's membership until I was 25. Used to make the drive just to use the practice facilities!
