And yet, reading their board, they believe their list is far superior.

They rate every player they draft like they are something other worldly. Hayes was the next coming, Williams was a superstar in the making and MG was worth two top ten picks late last year. Not to mention Sinn who they paid an absolute fortune for.

They have some young players that I am sure have potential that are currently not in their senior team but they definitely overrate them early and the difference those players can make to their senior side

ROB does so many good things but his ruck work is deplorable. The amount of times he taps it straight to the opposition.
He's much better when he plays with intent, from the opening bounce this match. Even his tapwork reached passable, albeit against a cooked Lycett.
When that drops off though he's back to being a scrubber.

5 - Rankine/Rankine
4 - Thilthorpe/Dawson
3 - ROB/Thilthorpe
2 - SPP/Rozee
1 - Dawson/SPP

Could also switch ROB and SPP's votes
Dawson even polarising the coaches...

Kind of matches the game though. No clear stand out as TT and Rankine both had quiet periods.

Rozee probably the most consistent but not dominant. Dawson pretty good not again not a stand out.

Hinge is probably one that got underrated.
The guy from the advertiser wrote an article defending his choice of Dawson, said they have to vote 5-10 before the end. Rankines 4 goals look better than 3 at the time.

That Dawson picked up the team, won heaps of contested ball.

Thought he set the bench mark early with ROB with their attack at the pill

Foxtel Red Button used to do something like this a generation ago

Yep, amazing we've gone backwards.

Used to have options to mute the commentators and just listen to the crowd and also options to choose your own camera angle, I think there was down the ground from either end and then a single camera following the ball.

I didn't appreciate it back then because it was hard to see what was happening from a distance but now that 75"+ TVs are fairly common it would be good to switch to a behind the goals camera for a while to get a better understanding of the game.

I guess they have numbers that it just wasn't popular vs. the expense but you would think with Kayo being online it wouldn't be as difficult.

I think he had 5 or 6 hit outs to advantage to 1

He absolutely massacred Lycett in every facet

Not the right week to have a go at ROB
ROB: 35 HO, 13 to advantage
Lycett: 30 HO, 7 to advantage

Lycett actually attended 1 more ruck contest than ROB.

It's the same story as with the Brownlow or any other "panel" award: goals scored don't count as highly as the overall game. OK the top coaches's votes went to Rankine and Thilthorpe, but the criteria there are different - I think. It's hard to look at a game and see the top goal scorers not featuring in the BOG, but... I can sort of understand it.

The AFC B&F votes for this game will be interesting, being based on "who beat their opponent / had an impact on the game" etc.

The fact the Alir Alir wasn't taking incept marks all game because we kept bombing it in was so pleasing to see. We obviously have changed the way we go forward and it worked really well on the weekend
That’s why it helps to have classy ball users up the ground, getting the ball inside 50. Dawson must stay in that wing/inside mid role now

Tredders and Goodings
Agreed - Will Goodings is there best caller we have in the state now.

Tom Rehn irritates the beejeezuz out of me. Reminds me of Chester the Terrier from that cartoon.
