So what you are really saying is that your current midfield has no quality.

Also you are neglecting other deficiencies in the ruck, forwards, defenders & bench warmers by focusing on the midfield this draft.

We have no defencies in the backline - Garland, Frawley, Warnock & Rivers are all very promising/ established KPP's.

Midfield is looking very promising indeed... especially with the introduction of Scully (who is reported to be the best midfielder since Judd from respected recruiters), McLean, Grimes, Moloney, Sylvia, Blease

Forward is also looking pretty good. Watts will be a Riewoldt-esque CHF, Jurrah will be a great target, Bate is also a good player. Then you have Maric, Wonaeamirri etc as small forwards who again are very capable.

Who gives a shit about ruckmen anyway. You won the Grand Final last year with a horrible ruck division, and quite frankly i'd take Jamar ahead of either of your ruckman.

I'm saying we already have quality there, but they will really complete and compliment the players we already have to fill that part of the field.

Imagine seeing the likes of Grimes, Morton, Scully, Trengove, Blease, Strauss, Sylvia, McLean, Davey and so forth all rotating through the midfield. When all are developed, Melbourne will be near unstoppable.

Your other comment is ridiculous. Our defence is in great shape for the future (how is Hawthorn's looking, by the way), and although our forward line could use another tall, it is also looking pretty good with guys like Watts, Jurrah, Wona, Maric, Bate and so on playing up there.

Erm... not wanting to rain on your parade too much Jacko, because I abhor trolling North Melbourne, as you know, except in defence of the Demons, and even then, hardly ever except when absolutely necessary.

Hell, as I've said elsewhere, North are the closest thing to a second team for me.

But I'm afraid you chose VERY poorly in your choice of troll here old son... especially with the Demons having won TWELVE premierships before the Kangas even moved beyond the asterisk...

Um, recent history counts for a lot more than some flag won when you or your parents weren't even out of nappies yet.

And on that count, North have been a lot more successful than Melbourne in the AFL era.

Not saying that they're looking likely for another premiership tilt soon though.
