Although I'm gutted at losing GAJ, I wish you luck with building a successful(ish) club for the future. I think if you can get a culture going , you'll be right, and McKenna seems to be making all the right noises.

PS All niceties are off when we play you next year! ;)

Cheers

Good on you for coming in and not being a tool like some of the other Geelong supporters in here, I am frothing at the mouth for the first game at Carrara next year. Hopefully we are gelling enough by then to make it a competitive match up.

Thanks for the sentiment. I used to live on Gold Coast, support Lions and lament lack of local teams for both footy and league., Now I move to Melbourne (3 yrs ago) and we have our own Gold Coast team. Aargh!

Gold Coast > Patterson Lakes > Frankston...A trend emerges. A mini GFC even.
Frankston is not as bad as I thought it might be, though. Although it has its issues, I quite like the location, being close to the beach and to Western port, etc.

I know Frankston jokes are a partly tongue-in-cheek Melbourne institution that has been going on for yonks, but I've seen a hell of a lot worse suburbs.

Guys,
good luck with your first season, will be exciting I'm sure.:thumbsu:

On another note please keep some of your members (harro161) off the north board, seriously childish behaviour.....

Question apart from the obvious(ablett/swallow) which players are you excited about for next year?

I could almost list the entire squad :D It is going to be very exciting to see how all of the young players go at AFL level - Bluey is probably going to rotate and rest players throughout the season as we need to get a look at as many of them as we can to see if they're up to it. There's more than likely going to be up to 15 spots up for grabs most weeks for the youngsters. Liam Patrick, Trent McKenzie, Zac Smith, Charlie Dixon, Rex Liddy, Karmichael, Mav Weller, Dion Prestia, Sam Day, Harley Bennell, Daniel Gorringe, Jack Hutchins, Josh Toy, Josh Caddy, Seb Tape, Steven May just to name a few

Good Luck guys - Club has done everything right so far and provided the young guys live up to their potential you will be awesome in 3-4 years.
My 14 year old son and I are Geelong tragics so losing GAJ and having Nathan re-emerge has hit us hard.........however my son has buried the hatchet and informs me he's buying a GC jumper for training in next year !
Can't wait to see David S next season , local boy from our Junior Club , has the potential to be the next big thing - scary thought to have him and GAJ in the same midfield.
