Without a doubt...totally agree. How does he compare with Saad, Stuhldrier, Steve Ryan, Paul Newman??

Are you serious?

The bloke has no tricks & we saw what happens when United come up against a side that is well coached (Echuca)... Eagle failed to fire.

Comparing him to Saad is ridiculous!

Wouldn't tie Saad's shoelaces.

Good mark, resonable kick...

Very average @ ground level!

saad means football freak in arabic.thats why his parents doubled up on his name!!!!!!!!!! If your a full back you are firstly waiting for him to take a screamer or if it hits the ground the full back is in more trouble.a very unique player.

As you were first to post a personal quote about a person and not a football matter it should be ok for me to respond.
I couldn’t disagree more on your Keith Wellman opinion. Like many GV personalities he acts on personal ego to further himself rather than the wellbeing (lol) of the future of who he is appointed by. If he was of character he would have shown professionalism and acted appropriately.
Its is very sad for country football so many of these personalities are bring the game backwards because of their blindness caused by egotistic ambitions.

So Keith Wellman at 72 yrs of age has an egotistical ambition......spare me.

Not all forwards need 'tricks' sometimes coaches like to coach players like eagle who are reliable and to say he is a 'good mark, average kick' hopeless at ground level is a bit harsh. The bloke is killing it at the moment agains some quality teams and some quality backs.
I know many think that the sun actually rises out of Saads ass but did he ever kick bags of 8,8,9,3,9 in the first 5 weeks of a season?

As Doona stated a while back, whilst dealing with Keith back in the Central Goulburn days, I would have thought him to be the opposite, putting country football before all else including his own well being.

Eagle is every bit as good as Saad...the game against Echuca from what I heard United had a very low inside 50 count and on a greasy night it would've made things tough, especially with 2 or 3 dropping off on him. Time will tell but I think you'll find he'll be every bit as good as Saad. Yes he's only a reasonable kick but on a lead unstoppable, one on one very good and competes well on the deck.

Worth every penny of it so far as well. With him United are a genuine challenger, without him they are making up the numbers. Matchwinners like Eagle are the players that you spend that sort of money on, not on ballers.
very strong on the lead, good mark and kicking seemed good to me. he reminds me of jason heatley, but not as versatile but in the gvfl he dont need that. he would be worth the 1200 or so if thats the figure and he would improve any team by 6-8 goals.

saad 500 plus goals in 5 years in the g.v.

By the looks of it Eagle will do similar if he plays that long. Both very different players in style of play obviously but both very very effective in front of the big sticks. I'd be buggered if I had to make a choice about which I would won't in my side this weekend to be honest

In a goal kicking sense surely stuhldrier's record over the years would put him above those. Time will tell with eagle!

Can't agree with that as he went missing in the finals when it counted whereas Saad did his bit when it counted in 2005,2006. As for Jason he has it all in front of him but if he performs in finals he will be ranked with the best we've seen in the GV

Any reports on how Euroa are going, I see the are getting close to the big teams but falling away in the last.
By all reports they have a very young side

Obviously you don't know the man so let me just give you a bit of info about what he has done for this league. Mr Wellman took over from Eric bott who was on a very good wicket as the head of the leagues administration. Mr Wellman is doing the job for almost nothing and has single handedly pounded the pavement to gain new sponsorship Deals for the league and also to regain sponsors that had jumped ship due to bott's inability to look after them. In the last 2 years at the helm he has taken the league from a position of owing over $100,000 to now having dollars in the bank. From what I heard from mr
wellmans family after the meka incident he was extremely upset by it all. Meka actually called mr Wellman in the week after the incident to apologize for his behavior on the night and told him
some bs story about the stress that he has been under etc etc. When this was brought up at the investigation meka blatently lied about this call and denied he had apologized. I can continue on about mr Wellman but I am comfortable with the fact that anyone who knows him well has the utmost respect
for him.

I spose u read this in the Warrenbayne advertiser hey little finch

Well the Warrenbayne advertiser was on the money oh great one.

Just happened to be in the Ellen Francis last night when the Kyabram boys(and girls) called in for a drink.
I asked one of their players who they played today, and his reply was - " We had a training run down at Euroa", which I thought was a bit cocky until I read the scores. Was it a total of 6 goals for their three teams?
