It will be great to have Jammo back this week and unfortunately for Bill lovell (but great for Tat) the work deal fell through in NT.

Great to see Seymour's Jase Cole grab the medal yesterday. Must definitely thrive on the big stage ! Would be some interesting conversation in that house between him and his old man to see who is/was the better footballer.

Mooroopna's dean smith got the nod for BOG in u19's game too! The kid is a jet!

Absolute gun. Has played Vic Country for several years now. Didn't even get a chance to play GVFL interleague though. Go figure............................
Maybe if he played for a shepp side he might have made the squad, I'm still not sure how huy got a game over smith?!?

Echuca (6th) v Rochy (2nd) probably the pick of the round. Echuca hasn't beaten Rochy since 2011, but they nearly did earlier this year. Should be a good one.

Swans v Bears, Euroa v Tatura and United v Mooroopna could be close games.

Benalla should easily beat Mansfield, as should Kyabram over Seymour.

Interesting day at Vic Park tomorrow with Pezz Oliver naned in the twos for his first game back after multiple knees. Nath Marrone and Scott Oakley both named in the senior side for their first games for the year. Elliott Bowen also back after several weeks.

Perry Oliver wont have to show much to much to be playing seniors before years end IMO.

Could be timing but getting blokes back now fresh like Marrone and Oakley along with a fit P Oliver spells X Factor into finals for me. Giddy Up...

A very impressive Rochester were too big and strong around the contest today. Kicking the first 8 goals of the game really set them up with Stroobents very impressive. They used the ball well and looked pretty sharp.

Didn't see the game Ringo but it would have been the tallest side Rochy has fielded all year with the inclusion of Oakley and return of Bowan.

Do you know if Perry Oliver got through the twos gane okay? I see he kicked 2 goals.

I think the umpires of the swans and Bears game have been watching too much Thursday night footy. They commenced plucking out 50m penalties for being in the 10m protected space as well as petty deliberate out of bounds. And that was ontop of far too many soft free's restricting a fast paced first half.

Mate I left when the midday show rolled out but i walked past him when they were warming up and he looked pretty fit. When I got back for the main show he was walking around ok

Good assessment Jimmy, they were pretty ordinary, and ruined a good game.

Seymour seemed to give Kyabram a bit of scare on the weekend, with Kyabram only up by 5 points at the last break. Kyabram seem to be the team to beat this year. They have a lot out by the looks, who are walk up starts for them to come back in? Anyone got a team they could put together of Kyabrams potential finals side?

Watched the Echuca-Rochy game on live stream. I've been quite vocal against some of the GVFL administrative moves and it's terrible website, but this was excellent. Watching the game live with commentary all the way over here in Perth was great.

Echuca were pretty ordinary. I was expecting a tight game, but it was basically over within the first 10 minutes. Very impressed by Rochy - ball movement was quick, they are tough in the contest and the talls (Flaherty, Brennan, Oakley) were excellent. Very impressed with Bright, O'Connor and Hooppell. Reid was excellent for Echuca.

The GV Footy show facebook page .

Must not be up yet!! Pretty keen on watching the game! Haven't really witnessed rochy blow a team of water in a quarter this year! Have generally just chipped away until a 4-6 goal lead has been established!

Will be interesting to see where Echuca end up now! Put them into a dog fight to finish in the 6!!

Would be interesting to have a look at the run home for those teams hovering around the 6

Was thinking because of the away game, and heavy ground, Benalla would struggle at Tat. Pretty amazing result, draws in both Seniors and Reserves games. Can't remember ever seeing that.
Anyone go and see the game?

Would have to be a first in GV footy draws in both games id think , Tat probably the better team most of the day missed a lot of shots for goal , Benalla scrambled a goal in the last minute to salvage a draw .
