Who's goes out then? 4 to come back in! Sheldon, Gemmill, Reeves and Hayes. Beck won't play and if he does it will be in the 2s! Who are the 4 that go out? Elvis, Boots what are your thoughts?

Pelly has been playing seconds and got a call up yesterday, and was terrific, but so was everyone else. The pressure will be on him and the two youngsters in Drew Barrett and Brad Whitford. I'm not sure Gem is a certainty (and Gem I'm not at training this week so I'm safe from you questioning me). He is just coming back from injury and this has to repair in time for him to find fitness, then form. In his first hit out yesterday though he does look a class above the Reserves.
The season has a long way to go and you can bet there will be injuries unfortunately. Poor Rochy and Seymour can't take a trick. So if we end up like them Nels might get a call up ;)

Watched Bears v Lions today, wasn't a very enjoyable game to watch. Seymour out done purely on class, but that happens when your best 6 players are not out on the park. Credit to bears who look very very well drilled. Luke smith young forward looked dangerous all day as did Big Hugh Robinson for Seymour.

Everyone was terrific yesterday and there wasn't a weak link. Pressure was great and the back 6 was unreal. Echuca had a few quality players out but don't think it would of made much difference.
Echuca love giving it to Buckley, even when under pressure, which I can see why he is a gun and had a bit of it yesterday but just didn't have enough quality around him.
Pettifer played a great game and kicked 9 and would of had him best on closely followed by Burstin.
Think you have contradicted yourself there a-bit bootz. Gemmill has been a consistent senior player for 5 years now so I don't think his form or fitness has anything to do with him making the team or not, they know what he's capable of, I think it's more the fact for him that if he's right to go each weekend, he gets picked no questions asked. As for reeves he will be right to go aswell as Sheldon, Hayes should be right to go but would still have questions over who they drop for him.
Seymour have 4 of the best mids 10 mids in the league and 3 of hen are out so massive loss for them aswell as saad. Can't seeing them doing to much damage come finals time now with losses of that calibure, Clifton is a gun but can't do it all himself.
Can anyone give me a report on Sam Martyn? Hurt himself against Ky and didn't play yesterday? How long is he out for? Massive loss for saints as he is best player in their side!

Looks pretty right Ringo but if Ky have the best list by a mile do 2 wins by under 7 points have them rated A plus?

The Saad Saad saga deepens. After being denied a clearance to Pines, he has retired from Seymour saying his body is "no longer up to it" off Twitter tonight. Body was good 9 days ago when he bagged 9
Don't think him and Colbert have had a good relationship for a while from following the media comments from Colbeet about him in recent years.

I do not know if it is true or not but I have heard the senior players at lions have lost the support of colbert hence why Saad Saad leaving.

However, I would be pissed off if I was the management and committee of Seymour to have you're a player in and out of the club every year.

The Pines Football Club (My old club in Melbourne had a few gone to this club which was done in weird circumstances)have done it with many players in the past so I think Saad Saad will have more comebacks than John Farnham.

The senior players have lost the support of Colbert?? or Colbert has lost the support of the senior players??

Based upon that theory it seems ludicrous that Saad would return from the EDFL in 2017 to play under Colbert.

If Colbert has mentioned Saad's poor discipline this year, and the final year of his previous stint at Seymour then well done Colbert.

Guess where this is heading??...once again to the coach. Its time players started to respect the coach and toughen up.
I was simply trying to understand the post. But having another read I take it he is suggesting that Colbert had been covering him.

I was surprised he lasted the games he did after the Ky game considering his own team mates sent him off.
Hopefully the Seymour players can move forward because it appears he was lowering their expectations of acceptable discipline despite being such a talent in their forward line.
The Lions must have walked under a few ladders, broken a mirror or two and seen a couple of black cats with their bad luck this year.

it would be interesting to know what the projected goals of the coach's of each club were at the start of the year. I would have guessed that all bar Swans, United and the Cats who openly stressed they were developing very young squads would have had beliefs that their squads would make finals. Tatura would have to be disappointed with their past 2 months and Mansfield also to a certain extent. Echuca must also be concerned for the finals hopes going forward even though they are still in the mix along with Seymour who have to try and stay competitive with an injury list that grows every week. Looks like survival of the fittest for 6th spot.

Pretty sad to see one of the greats of the GV go out this way tho

Tat's goal was to be compeitive and hitting finals was a bonus. Tat is still building it is just a pity that to have up to 10 first team player out injured in Tatura. I think the D is a bit harsh from ringo.

Unfortunately mate I didn't take injuries into account. Still plenty of time for the Dogs to have an impact on the makeup and order of the top 6. Anything less than 6 wins would be disappointing.

ky has the flag in the pocket, KP an mangan boys are killing it.. they have the most ex bushrangers an af/vfl players around not sure how they afford it.. hope we can get Holman next year to out of the wang league haha

Last week Nick Holman had 38 possessions, 5 goals and 10 tackles in his 160+ supercoach points for Central Districts. He may have AFL coaches thinking about giving him a second chance after an excellent season so far.

This weeks Hit outs....

Benalla V Mooroopna - One sided affair here. Benalla to win.
United V Bears - Bears to win in the local derby.
Euroa V Echuca - This to be a cracker game!! Looking at results, Echuca coming off a huge smashing will look to bounce back, however Ky bash up sides and the opposition usually struggles physically the next week, so will go with Euroa here to run over a sore sore Echuca.
Seymour V Rochy - Another good game looms. Still unsure on Seymour after loosing all their key names. Some serious bad luck for the lions boys. Hard to replace top end talent so Im thinking Rochy to win down at Kings park in a close one.
Ky V Swans - Swans will.......... not win this one. Ky by 100+.
Tat V Mansfield - Good game again here, Tat for me!

The feeling i had and was told the doggies were looking at playing finals football this year, so unless they achieve this I'm sure the doggies will put it down as a disappointing year. So Ringos D seems very reasonable if this is not achieved..

Benalla vs Mooroopna-Saints to win

United vs Bears- United is depended on Spanger and Lowden, They might get close but not enough for the Bears in my opinion. However the bears near to not fade out when 5 goals plus up.

Euroa vs Echuca- Euroa to win this pretty well. I think MelbourneDees is right. All the sides look tired after playing Ky. Euroa to win if they can keep their men on the field

Seymour vs Rochy. I think Seymour will win this one. Rochy to kick 3.13 in 3 qtrs last week and could of put away my bulldogs but did not till the last quarter with a stunning 8 goal quarter. No Stroobants in Rochy side this week. Maybe tough game for Rochy even with the loss of Seymour's midfield

Ky v Swans- Ky to win. No contest.

Tat vs Mansfield- I think this one is the one that breaks Tat drought(I hope). Tat had kept rochy to 3.13 in 3 qtrs. have not seen the team list but I think Jamason Daniels will be out as he pulled up sore in end of 3rd qtr with quad injury is a big loss.

Probably Nath Marone the bigger loss for the Tigers
