I was at Tatura on Saturday and was told that Daniels is on the hunt for a new support crew. Indications are that all line coaches will not be reengaged. They have interviewed one of the senior assistant coach from Swans as a possible assistant/mentor. Could be a good move for Jamo as some of their game plan and structures this year were bizarre. Bring in some fresh ideas and may see him survive beyond next year as a senior coach
Thought old mate Carbs had already given him his marching orders!!

SEMI FINALS

Couple of cracker games here, down to the 4 best sides!

KY V SEYMOUR @ MOON OVAL - Bang 2nd chance on offer here for Seymour. I cant tip against the bombers, and in fact i don't think anyone can until they prove us wrong. Knocked of the bears boys last week, yes the gap is closing but I still believe they earn the right to go into every game as favorite due to the incredible run they have accomplished so far. Seymour look damaged, really damaged. Colbert, O'Keeffe, Cole all hamstrings and Scopel with a ear drum injury I believe the word was. Great fight back win against Benalla and proved they are where they belong. Will be interesting to see how many changes come out of the Seymour camp prior to this weeks game. Ky for me fellas, hard to go against, 30 point winners with a couple of goals late.

BEARS V ROCHY @ MEMORIAL OVAL - Who will be going home here? Absolute ripper game here. Rochy fresh off a good win against the magpies will be feeling on top of the world. In comparison, I have said this many times this year, teams struggle to back up performance the week after playing Ky, so it will be a big week of recovery for the Bears boys. Any injuries out of these two sides form their games last week? Anyone know of?
This will be tight as they come I believe, and the team who kicks straighter to win for me. Straight kicking is good football and I think Bears will just get through here. If the bears win, the move through to a HOME prelim!

If what I believe will happen, we could be looking at

Seymour V Bears next week, in a home game for the bears.

Anyway not getting ahead of myself, this weeks games to be entertaining nonetheless.

A full strength Rochy squad must be a big chance against Shepparton at Memorial Oval on Sunday. Had there way with Shepp at Moon oval this year and Deakin last year. Pretty evenly matched and much will depend upon who stops Wong? I am guessing Gledhill might get the job.

The vastly 'underrated' Gledhill that is ....

Hey MD,

Great assessment on both games. Should be a cracker of a weekend. Care to fill us in on the Seymour boys injuries? Meridith to come back in? Dare say he will but can see him getting targeted pretty heavily with his injury. Heard Colbert did his quad and sat out the last half of the game. Will be interesting to see if he gets up, don't think he will. What's the go with O'keefe, Cole and Scopel ( which one ). Should be a great game none the less! Ultra, you got any info on injuries?

Colby and okeefe had hamstring issues but both still a chance to play. They are still just being cautious with Jase but he's ok. And Dylan copped a knock to the ear a couple weeks back, but he's good to go also. Meredith will definitely play.

Who is this " Gledhill" everyone is talking about Silver? Making his debut is he? ;)

I asked one of the Seymour fellas Saturday about Meredith. They said he would be getting test results etc today. So time will tell. Would be good for him to get back now as Colbert will be out. My call Colbert out, Meredith in. Okeefe should be given every chance.

Possibly mate...thats what I am thinking!

Hey ringo,
Are Florence and Morris departing knowing the idenity of the new coach?

It seems like two steps back from my perspective ... quality 6.5 blokes aren't easy to find. Personally, I felt Morris has been one of the better ruckmen in the league. Both will be huge losses.

Can't judge a bloke on one viewing, but for mine Daniel Willis looked totally disinterested, and seemed to lack the leadership you might expect from a VFL and GV rep player. He seemed to resent playing in the backline.

Maybe there's a couple of recent delisted Talls coming with the new coach
