Gees that needs to be confirmed. I can't imagine the GVFL Board giving up any potential finals income by providing free entry. For the publics sake I hope I'm wrong but this is a fantasy isn't it?
I think playing at a alternative time is a good move by the GV.
The suggestion of providing free entry to some however would appear to defeat the purpose of changing the game time with the potential of increasing attendance but decreasing gate takings.
Does the league gain financially from the catering or is that solely the host club ?

Gate all goes to GVFL while all the catering and bars income goes to the hosting clubs

So your saying if you go to the tat matches you get into moroopna for free, where did you hear that?
Shepparton Bears facebook page. The Bears 3rds play Saturday morning at Tatura and their senior grades at Mooroopna so it informing people to get a passout or stamp to use at Mooroopna.

1st week of finals is here! You beauty, the greatest month of all.

This weeks games as follows

Seymour V Benalla (Elimination @ Tat park) - A good game lined up here. A little bit of "nasty" history involved in these two sides. Seymour have been in good form to finish of the season, smashing Euroa last week to cement and move into third spot. Benalla however the opposite, dropping away in recent weeks, giving them a far from ideal run to the finals. Good to see Jase Cole back in action last week, however I am sure will be under close eye of the benalla boys again, referring back to the nasty incident. Seymour look favorites for this one, and I believe the lions inside mids link well with their outside mids and this is where the game will be won. For the saints to win Banister will need 5+ I say and I am unsure if that will get done against Seymours quality back 6.
Seymour by 6 goals, to run away late in the game.

Ky V Shepp (Qualifying @ MRP) - The two best sides head to head, this one will be closer then first thought I believe. Both teams earned their respective spots on the ladder and are clearly the 2 best teams in the comp. Ky with bigger bodies and a little....... bit of talent running around and bears the opposite being a fast run and gun type team, however equally as skillful by hand and foot IMO. In saying this I think the winner will be the side that plays to their game plan best. If its a contested style game this will suit Ky and will allow them to set up behind the footy and play well to their structures. However if the bears can get the ball on the outside and cut through Kyabram in the back to mid section of the ground this will not give kys elite back 6 as much time to set up, in which is there greatest strength. Interesting game this one at Mooroopna, I cant tip against the bombers until they prove me wrong. Ky by 2-3 goals.

Euroa V Rochy (Elimination @ Benalla) - This will also be a fine game. Rochy in some good form and Euroa coming off the back of a thumping handed to them by the lions last week, who will look to bounce back. Rochy will again have some experience over the magpies when the tough gets going, and that for me is essential in big games. Rochy to win for me. This will be super close. 1-2 goals.

Love to hear some thoughts!?

Love your previews each week. Yes will be some spite between Saints and Lions but reckon margin will be a blow out, over 10 goals.
Your analysis of the different playing styles between Bombers and Bears is spot on. For your predicted margin to be true, Ky needs to be kept to 10 goals or less.
Game of the round will be Magpies and Tigers. Magpies will try and test them physically and if they stay disciplined in this could cause an upset, but still think your margin the likely outcome.

Si
Hahaha...poor old Carbsfortea......now 4 days behind schedule. Think he has gone the way of Overtheborder...now there is a name to stir the emotions. They couldn't be...could they?
since there has been no word from carbs ... I heard a rumour today the the shepp swans coach has put in for a job in Melbourne and is likley to be leaving princess park ... might be 3 coaches in 3 years for the swans if true ..

Would Euroa winning be an upset? They were 2nd 3rd for much of the Season and slipped to 4th after dropping last week.

I

injuries have really hurt the pies..
Who knows in a final though , rochy in better form but you never know ... it'll be pretty close I think
Tigers for me

Tigers are humming along nicely at present with basically a full list for Flaherty to choose from. Hasn't really been the case all year.

Not sure how the Magpies are traveling in this regard.

Just going on current form and suggested injuries Doc. Guessing most people will select Rochy in a close one, therefore if Euroa win it has upset most tipsters???!

I'm tipping Rochester would be the more prominent selection as you suggest but the tag of an upset seemed a little different as the Pies finished on top of them. It would be dissapointing for Euroa if they couldn't manage a finals win after the Home &Away Season they have had.

I guess my only concern for Euroa is how much of their best 22 will they be able to put on the park ??
But I agree Doc they've had a good season so saying it'd be an upset might not be fair

I'm upset that my "upset" call has upset some people.
Seriously I didn't mean any disrespect in that call of upset, as it may be deemed because Euroa have had a very good season and are a chance to go all the way.
I will retract my "upset" call and just say Rochy looks like being favourites in what should be the close one! But no one will be shocked if Euroa win.
Actually only Benalla is the only side being a long way off having any chance of the flag. They would be bigger odds than their one in six of the teams remaining. Injuries and form have deserted them unfortunately.

10 goal win, good feeling at kings park at the moment I reckon. Tatura is a good sized ground will suit their slick fast ball movement that comes after the likes of Clifton, Sturgess and wheeler do the grunt work.

Yeah fair call that one. They toyed with Euroa last week. If they can get away early from the Saints and nullify both Bannister and Warnock they should be well on their way as these two have kicked majority of their scores. Not a bad midfield that one, J. Cole 4th mid, that is not a bad sign of your depth now is it!

Add a returning Brett Meredith in to there as well, he goes alright.
