Sounded like a ripping game at Memorial Oval today (thanks McLovinit) as the call by the One Fm boys made the Melbourne cans taste even better.

Commentators intimated the young tigers were all over the 'pies until a stoush mid last quarter which turned the game Euroa's way. Tigers lost some focus by the sound of the call.

Are Euroa a chance to challenge the champs with Gilliland, Bail and Will Hayes to return to the lineup? I guess Kyabram will have Lachie Smith back come finals whatever he does at Footscray VFL. Best player in the competition In my opinion.

Went to Saints/Bears game and while it was a good Match, it never reached great heights. It felt like the Saints were a bit flat from the start and the Bears came out running and had the better of the play for most of the quarter. A couple of late goals put Benalla back in front. Warnock and Webster were taking some good marks up forward. The Bears ability to run the ball from half back was impressive. Their big ruckman gave the Bears an advantage in centre clearances through out the game and although Benalla got out to a 25 point odd lead at one stage, the Bears were always having a go. They crawled it back to about 10 points at the late changed and you could feel they could were getting a run on. But the Saints held out in the last. Not much between these two sides but neither will bother Ky.

Very Scrappy match at Deakin Reserve today. United had the running in the Midfield but could not breakdown Tatura Backline and Score. Grenfell was double tagged all game in the forward line and kicked 6 today. Just happy to not kick 5.18 and lose like last year and be the better side

Tat has got a big Month of Football with Ky, Benalla, Euroa and Echuca. This is a true test for the bulldogs.

United have improve compared to last time and they had Lowden and the other person I can not remeber his name last year. If you a United fan, You slowly on the way up

Echuca had a comfortable win as expected but full credit to the Swans. The spirit in which the games we played was exceptional. Also very impressed with the Swans after game and the Presidents address. Well done Swans!

Ringo , after the Swans last few weeks . Was Echuca 20 goal win just a win or did the Swans play the way to only allow Echuca to kick 23

It was a scrappy game Oz, but did have moments of really good football. Felt Tatura didn’t really play to their game plan today. Losing their structure at times and really over used the handball through the middle part of the ground. They won ugly and really need to pick it up a notch against Ky next week. Grenfell was really good as was Miller and Wellington. Hill copped a big knock and hopefully will be ok for next week. Really liked the way Martin went about it off half back and wing.

Realistically if Tat didn't loose to Ky by more than fifty points next week it would by a good result for them, obviously Ky are at least a ten goal better team than everyone else, Mansfield who were sixth on the end of another Ky flogging today.

Walker Buckley Allan and one or two others were out. The swans had a crack and that’s all you can ask. Echuca need to start using the 100% options by foot instead of banging it long to a player in at best a 50/50. Will know more about Echuca next weekend

Yet Ky won agianst Tat by 4 points last year and Tat had heaps out. I still think Ky going to win by a bit thou.

Amazing effort by Ky to win fifty games on the trot, but is it good for the competition and wasnt the points system and salary cap designed to even up the leagues, definitely not working.
Agree! And to make matters worse, Ky have a solid group of very good GV players in the reserves ready to step up if injuries occur. These players can't leave the club due to being high points at other clubs . This leaves Ky in a position of strength for a few more years yet. Swans, Mooroopna and United are destined to be down for a long time under current system. The system is broken and its going to send clubs to the wall...not help them. Paul Newman and Kyabram can keep this going for a few more seasons yet!

All major leagues now have their 'great divides'. They are getting worse.

Rather than these struggling clubs going to the wall, maybe its time to look at putting them into one competition and the powerful ones in another. (With divisions involving promotion/relegation).

There is nothing less interesting than a game Australian rules football where you know one team is going to win by 25+ goals. It is sole destroying for the struggling club.

I reckon next year could a very even comp with up to 6 sides capable of winning the flag

Only if Newman continues to coach and if they can keep a lot of their gun players
