Mixed emotions at princess park for me today. My swans gave themselves every chance to win today. Right in it until the end. Never gave up never stopped. They boys were bloody fantastic and I’m super proud and positive the wheel is turning.
Disappointing loss in the end but couldn’t be more happy with the way we responded from a dismal showing last week. Absolutely pumped with the performance. But need to get the win.
Time for a beer.

Echuca made to work hard for the points today. The game margin blew out late. Seymour had 4-5 out from last week but Echuca were pretty impressive.
Cats were very impressive, 8:3 to 0:2 3rd qtr broke Mansfield, Browne was average.

With the underage 18 Comp a lot of people around my age that played or still play relish the travel yes it stops country clubs improving but it also then creates opportunities for the kids to go up against other elite kids from the city where they have a greater choice

That game was more surprising that the other games but it does raise one question, Were the Swans really good or are Benalla really that bad?. I just can't fathom how a club like swans has improved by 30 goals in 3 games and a pre-season. Not having a good at the Swans effort in the game.
Weird round with Mooroopna winning at Mansfield and the close game with Euroa vs Rochy.
Fair call. I guess In the scheme of the competition the better sides like Kyabram and Echuca ect would probably have still been able to put some distance between us yesterday. But In saying that I refuse to just say Benalla were bad. Our leaders were fantastic and the young guys grew with that.
Our pressure was fantastic and we defended really well. We won footy through the middle and Our skill level lifted from the previous week. Benalla may not have been great but I’d argue we didn’t let them be. Big step forward for us yesterday but at end of day didn’t get the win either so still need to be better.
Big game this week with mooroopna who look like they showed a big lift yesterday also from previous week. So we will need to bring that same effort as yesterday and more.

The Good Friday class between Bright and Tarra will be a hard contested clash. Bright played with purpose yesterday against blacks. Bright’s coach was very strong in the one on one contest up forward would have been a very good player in his younger years take nothing away from blacks no Jacka yesterday hurt them at the centre clearances Spencer played a great game across half back they need another strong forward as they where 2 one dimensional with just Jack Ellis up forward will make to top 6 on yesterday’s game

Going to get a good insight into Kyabrams main challenger this weekend. Echuca V Tat will give a very good indication into how both teams are traveling on Saturday.

I'm with you Onthehill. However, Echuca will need to find another mid or two to go with the likes of Kyabram IMO.Wheeler VFL could be one of them. A mid of Walker, Wheeler, Morris is high class but they need another one at least of that calibre IMO. Willis, Byrne and Allan will keep defenders on their toes most weeks.

How do you see this weeks game between Echuca and Tat Oz?
If it like the game like Round 1 last year. I will be happy. I might wait till the teams come out to decide but will be a great game i think.
Yes I think the selection table could well and truly have an influence but should be a ripping contest.
Chopper Gregg will Be back as will
Lindy Chamberlain lol. Gregg will be an important inclusion for mine. The mid field depth of Echuca will be needed to overcome Tats. Fothergill is a jet
