Agree there has been a lot of hype and panic. Though the people in Italy may have said the same thing but as of this morning there are 1000 dead there. With England saying there could be up to 10,000 infected there!
Think there will be a some sort of interruption to most sport and any community gatherings. Whispers are growing stronger that the upcoming 2 week school holidays will be turned into 4 weeks! Once this happens throws all working families into a bit of chaos.

It’s alleged the Australian Health department like many around the world are watching the affect ‘ lock down ‘ is having in Italy , before making similar requests .
Cancelling of the Melbourne Grand Prix and someone at the women’s World Cup testing positive , I’d suspect will put pressure on future closures .

Yes Toxic the 4 week hiatus period has been planned but I suspect they will pull the trigger two weeks prior to school holidays. Suspect it might turn into 6 weeks minimum.
Zero to 100 real fast, expect everything as per normal this week I reckon, most country areas of the state are unlikely to be impacted gives parents a week to find arrangements, not sure if sco-mo will give us 2 weeks carers leave, although nice to sco-mo attend the rugby this weekend, great leader do as I say and not as I do
I believe that if you are diagnosed and have enough sick leave you will be covered. If not you wont be paid. Its more important than ever that supporters get behind their clubs. Buy a membership, get to social events as allowed and keep clubs up and going.
Track back to 2008 when equine 'flu got through lax quarantine procedures. There was a vaccine available but it was only those of us with racehorses who were forced to have animals inoculated if we wanted to continue racing. Guard posts were set up at borders and movement was restricted for a period of time. The end result was that the racing industry wasn't decimated and people with paddock horses and ponies that weren't inoculated didn't get sick. Equine 'flu didn't get a hold here and currently our horses, when exported, are among the few rarely restricted come entry into another country. Why are we so lax with human travel? This said, there is no vaccine for the "common cold" but it mutates and crosses borders all the time. It then infects people and some die because of co-morbidness. Is COVID-19 any different?
