Sounds like the decision to award premierships will be reversed, which he fully endorsed and he was one of the clubs seeking clarification as to why they were awarded them in the first place hoping, to have the decision revoked. Well done Ash!

A truly great man is Ash Byrne . Whilst he is at the helm Echuca will be not only competitive on-field but successful and respected off it .
The question remains , how did it occur in the first place as it was initially sold as the clubs wishes ??

Just out of curiosity (I’m 100% against the T Green umpire contact and hope the punishment is multiple weeks at the very least) if that type of contact was made in a GV senior game and reported by an umpire, what would the penalty be?

Echuca deserve recognition for a successful season in all grades. Champion club would been the more apt decision. The decision that was made has an impact on all prior flags and those decided legitimately in the future.

Now official that they changed their decision . Will be recognised as minor premiers .

Read the headline on a Rochester Under 16's player Silver who said he thought they would have gone all the way to the Premiership this Season and they would return for Round 1 next year with fire in the belly! Sounds like some good ones coming through at Tigerland and already media trained as well!

Making deliberate contact is totally unacceptable and he should not wait for the officials to make a statement about it.

It was a sit on the fence sentence. If he is guilty for those offences as they found him to be it had to be in the 5 Plus range. It reminds of a time when a local player got 3 weeks for breaking a players jaw it was Zero and an accident or Guilty and 6 to 8.

Williams' suspension is the obvious point of comparison with Greene.


'Fabulous Phil' did headbutt/deliberately bump heads so deserved what he got!

Umpire Carburry's mayonnaise on the contact is hilarious to watch though.
