Half hour ago mate Big chance they’ll be looking for alternative accommodation and an oval
I live just up the road and witnessed 74 and 93 this is way worse than both those

Yeah right…that water isn’t going anywhere for a while and therefore no one will be able to even start a clean up.

Surely other clubs in tbe area will show good will and offer assistance with access to grounds etc.

In 2011 when Newbridge was destroyed they were able to share the facilities of fellow league member YCW for the entire season just about

The Ardmona facilities aren’t great. The Swans would be better sharing with Mooroopna, Congupna, Shepp East or Rumbalara.

Kialla is also an option, but doesn’t appear conducive to crowds in its current state.

There was talk of a multimillion dollar project at Princes Park, surely this location needs a rethink following recent events.

The swans could use Vibert reserve as a home Base where Karramomous play there cricket.
Good enough lights for training, brand new function rooms soon to be opened as well.

Only need a little bit of fencing to make sure they could run a gate.

How have Rochy and Echuca fared in regards to their facilities?. From the pictures of Rochy it didn't look great.

No not quite roar😂 but my vintage has allowed me too witness lots of great one on one tough footy unlike todays football Also the league’s could learn a lot from the way they were run back in the day !!

Very early I know
But is anyone predicting much difference in 2023 from the teams that were up there this year and the teams that struggled

Who are some of your favourite players from back in the day Swoop?
After my playing days I was lucky enough to umpire approx 400 games so obviously I had a close birds eye view of a few guns But Garry Cooper was a jet and a great fella to go with it .Des Campbell - Code - Smith -Miller- Simon McCarty-Glen Cole- Dirty Williams- S Ash
Kitto - Toot Morgan Stuildrier - Eishold - John Williams
A lot of these guns played in the same era That you won’t see again !!!

While i realised you had a strong sense of the best players throughout the 80's/ 90's/00's,I didn't realise you had the best seat in the house throughout 400 games as an umpire Swoop. Amazing job!

As a kid mid-80's when United were dominant Gary Kitto was supurb. Kitto was cut down by knee injuries. Gary Cooper was there at some point but finished at Mooroopna. (I think) Was at Tatura at some point if i recall. United were so strong in that era with George Trianidis, Richard Warburton, Murray Burls at.al

Just loved the 80s and 90s tongue
Kitto not talked about enough what a player he was
Yeh Cooper came across to United then Tatura where he won one of his 3 medals

Unfortunately with news Hume Weir has increased its outflow by 50% above previous high the worst is unfortunately to yet to have been seen .
Even with today's rain here in shepp roads are low level flooding, my back yard instantly became a wading pool.

The pumping at Princess Park is definitely working however.

I think it'll be Xmas before the water levels drop to "normal " levels

I think all involved with footy could a learn thing of two from the past Swoop .
Footy is an extension of society with all become over regulated.
The days of opposing players and umpires spending hours socialising after matches is just one example.

Thanks for sharing swoop some legendary names there

Agree Normo, the Lions will be in the mix. Have a few good ones returning from injury, a few handy recruits and some talented young players emerging.
Echuca, Euroa, Seymour, Mansfield my early top 4....

Echuca & Euroa if they keep majority of their lists they'll be up there.
Seymour get 3-4 back from injury and believe a few VFL boys have committed full time which is always positive.
Mansfield nearly book themselves in for 8 wins at home, pinch 3-4 away games against the bottom sides and they are there. Tough to beat at home.

Now it's only November!!!!!!!!
