Local club I'm helping at can't access their home ground for training until the Tuesday night of Rd.1 because the cricketing counterparts have been awarded the opportunity for a second year to host the Gisborne DCA top grade GF March 29/30.

Frustrating yes, does it matter? Not really as it's a chance for the cricket club to showcase themselves and promote the local community - football club has just had to utilise whatever facilities they can aquire, and play practice matches away.

No big deal.

Why isnt the footy club allowed to train on the ground???.
EDFL Clubs in Merri Bek arent allowed on grounds with boots till March 1st.

How are Benalla shaping up?
I see they have signed a few local kids back from rovers,

I'll be heading to benalla for a look, hopefully it's a productive match.

Echuca pumped Albury today by 48 points. Yes the old story with both sides having a couple not play. Reserves was a great game. Echuca winning by about 15 points in the twos.
Looking at it I’d say they (Seniors) are slightly better than last year. 2 x Reids, Tenace and Barber didn’t play. Echuca’s ball movement was unbelievably good.

I'd hope Benalla have more senior bodies, or it may be a very long year for the young saints
However Wallan looked very slick at times,

Yep, they had 2 players.

So some of our 19s helped out and we played a 15 V 15 Intra club game in Benalla.

Benalla had Mellington, Waite, Wolff, obrien, McCarthy, mennan, maney and Morgan out yesterday. All fit are in Benallas best 22.
