Some good news:

Fans won't be hearing veteran commentator Phil Gould during the NRL grand final after Channel Nine opted to use the supremo for analysis for the State Championship earlier in the day. Gould's commentary in the big game has come under criticism in recent years after the coverage copped backlash from the 2020 final between the same teams.

In 2020, Gould hit back at claims from fans he was 'biased' in commentary during the final between the Panthers and the Storm. Gould - a former general manager of football at the Penrith - blasted the claims as false.

At least you have more Grohan to look forward to... oh, right
Lifetime of great memories though

Then he just turns around and bombs it into next week.

What a play. What a player.

Did you know that only one Collingwood player has kicked more than 50 goals since 2013.

Don't think they've had a Coleman Medallist since Brian Taylor back when some Bay 13 Flogs were reaching retirement age

This, more AWFL, the Spring Carnival and then Cricket.

What a time to be alive...

:disappointed::gun:

Piffle, European Soccer and NFL just kicked off and NBA (the goat sporting league) is back in under 3 weeks

A League back soon too.
Magnificent time to be a Sports fan.

I'm changing my tip after reading this.

'The Panthers enter this decider as the superior defensive side, ranking 1st conceding just 16.42ppg. They had the sixth best attack, scoring 24.17ppg.

The Storm, who finished top of the ladder, ranked second in scoring with 28.83ppg. They ranked fourth in defence, allowing 18.71ppg.

Penrith will be unchanged from the team that downed Cronulla while Melbourne have lost behemoth Nelson Asofa-Solomona to suspension.

Betting in this is incredibly surprising with Penrith opening as marginal outsiders.'
