So how do these grand final parades work?!

Looking at last year's it started around 11:45 at treasury place and ends in Yarra park next to the G?

I believe they go down to Yarra Park for some sort of presentation. I wasn't sure whether it was possible to see them go past in the cars and also see the presentation, or whether it's best to just go to the end point to get a good possie for the speeches

They're massively overcrowded and very hard to get a good viewing spot.
I'm watching it on TV with the kids.

Myself and the missus going. We have the 3aw footy grand final eve breaky first, which ends at 9 then will are going to watch the tail end of open training, then off to find a spot to watch the parade... Can't wait!

Cross over the bridge towards st kilda road, I watched from there a couple of years ago and it wasn't too crowded also there is plenty of space and some high vantage points. But it was chill.

Used to go to a lunch at The Westin overlooking the City Square. Was a great view over the square and over a cold beer. Dan Andrews cocked that up with the holiday. Not having it thru city streets doesn't help either.

Can't believe this is the first GF parade I will see since I was 5! That was 1982 and I can only remember going in on the red rattler with my grandmother. I'm hoping I can also pick up my tickets while I'm in the city but I'm not sure if the ticketek outlets are open.
