Get a gaming PC then. Even the new consoles aren't going to be ground breaking and will be extremely outdated on release compared to what PC's are capable of at the same time.
If those screenshots are actual gameplay and not retouched at all its quite surprising how big of a jump in graphics it is between 4 and 5. It looks like a huge jump to me.

Likewise to me. The reflections on the panel of the cars in pic 1, the characters clothing isn't as 'blocky' in the 2nd etc...

Get some glasses! If in 2005 you showed me these graphics and said these are 2012 graphics I'd have been very disappointed. Your acting like its some massive ground breaking difference. It's not and new consoles are long overdue.

Oh yeah, let's all jizz over the difference in graphics between now and 2005..
In reality we should have had a new console out by now that was putting out far more impressive graphics. We don't and for some reason everyone is amazed by the graphics even though its not that much better. The point I'm trying to make is that we should have had new consoles out by now with better graphics than what we are seeing in grand theft auto 5. It's been too long between consoles.

Graphics are not the be-all end-all of the GTA series. Considering what we have here, it's breathtaking, considering the past games.

It's clearly better but there should have been a new console by now pumping out even better graphics.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's as simple as that really.
