SCOTT PENDLEBURY.Maxwell has been a good captain for Collingwood
but he may struggle to hold his spot next year,so its time to make the most consistently brilliant player captain.

As an outsider, I just don't really see that leadership from Pendles. I see it in Maxwell (although I agree he may be in our best 22), and I see it in Ball, but not really Pendles.

I would consider giving it to Ball for a couple of years.

Especially if Brown comes back.

Pendles is risky given his contract situation, and that's coming from someone who loves Pendles above all others.

I'd give it to Ball.

I don't understand why everyone wants to give the Captaincy to Ball. I love the guy and all, but he really only just got here. I'm happy for him to be in the leadership group, heck even the VC, but I really don't want him as THE Captain. For me personally, someone is not "Collingwood*" until they have been here longer than anywhere else.

I see Maxwell keeping the title and then relinquishing it next year to Pendles. Yes he will stay. Bucks loves Maxwell too much to take the Captaincy off him, remember it was Bucks who went to Maxwell and asked him to take his #5.

*I'm happy for people to play and contribute in a leadership role for the Club, but not happy for them to have the highest honour of our great club.

Luke Ball barracked for Collingwood growing up, and basically shunned all other clubs after nominating for the draft so that he would definitely get picked by Collingwood.

I think it's safe to call him a Collingwood person now.

That said, I don't want to see him as captain either. I'd rather stick with Maxwell. He's leadership attributes are obvious and we're a better team when he's on the field.
