I think they're getting at flamboyance, so based on that, i reckon Freddie Mercury would have to be marginally ahead of Jagger. Don't know all of them, so my opinion is pretty limited. Jerry Lee Lewis would have to be higher i reckon too - not a fan, but he was pretty out there.

Great to see Corey Taylor so high, Slipknot has always been a great live band thats for sure.

In 10 years Matt Heafy of trivium will be high on the list to, he could alos be high on the list for guitarists because he is very skilled.

A Frontman is the lead performer of a band (usually a singer but sometimes vocals and an instruement), the people listed above are all solo singers.

These lists are always going to be a matter of opinion but certainly plenty of suss things going on with that list.

Fred Durst!!! Give me a break.

Van Morrison was actually a frontman for a band called Them

Phil Anselmo was a great frontman for pantera until the drugs took its toll and he actually thought superjoint ritual was better than pantera and ofcourse denied he ever said it.

Sad story really.

I saw Pantera on their last tour to Australia, and Phil... well lets just say that it almost resembled a ku klux klan meeting rather than the usual banter between songs.

I rate frontmen almost entirely on stage presence. Not necessarily because they have a beautiful voice, although it helps. That list is interesting but it has too many duds for my liking.

He wasn't in the list as the frontman for a band he was listed as a solo artist, but if it makes you happy i'll edit my post to reflect the band.

What ******** was he thinking leaving pantera for superjoint ritual?

I mean he killed a great band for a sub-par crappy death metal band?

WRONG

They all fronted their own bands = Front-persons

But if u want to argue about it email the web site.

Good Luck.

theres a few missing in my book

surely pete shelly, howard devoto, ian curtis, rick james and hugh cornwell deserve a mention ahead of a few of those hackers

geez even guys like j.t taylor and jay kay are better than some of that lot.
