Greatest moment in the finals series

Grigg's handball to Lambert in the goal square and the subsequent goal in the third quarter to put us up by 26 points. That's when I thought, is this for real, we are smashing them, I think we can actually win this. Still get pumped by it watching the replay.
It was the moment that I thought we will win this. Wasn't over but well on the way. Spine tingling.

3rd qtr in the QF
Cotchys goal

First 2 minutes of the Prelim
Patton handballing off on the qtr time siren in the Prelim
Rioli in the prelim
Butlers side step and goal in the prelim
Steve johnson turnovers in the 3rd qtr

Bachars goal in the GF
Towno's tackled on crouch
Jumping Jack taking hangers all over the place
Then the rest is obvious

Cotchins attack on the ball stood out for me, he inspired those boys in all 3 games with his ferocious intent to win the ball or mame the opposition trying. His bump on Dangerfield the highlight, marginally in front of the 360 goal.

Nank responding after having a slow start to the GF, the Crows were getting on top of him and starting to give it to him when he stepped up and showed why we drafted him. Fantastic response instead of going into his shell and shows the culture Dimma has bought, believe in yourself, because I believe in you!!

I love this team!! Can't wait to get home in a few weeks and watch the Final replays!!

After the win vs The Cats in that final, off a bye ~ first in 16 years ~ which to me was as good as a flag~ and while I'm doing cartwheels BT interviews Rance 5 minutes after the game. Rance cool as a cucumber ~ ah yeah I just wanted to get one back on Harry Taylor. And Rance starts joking around with the small forwards who, after putting the team into uncharted territory, just joke and crap on about ping pong. Dan Butler looked like that relaxed he was half asleep. I started to believe then that this team would not crack under pressure and that, with the MCG Prelim final, we would be in the grand final.

Qualifying Final: Ball goes inside defensive 50 where Dave Astbury marks, kicks it to a one on one between Dusty and Stewart - As expected dusty wins with his signature move and strides down the wing with a massive roar from the crowd and puts it to Jack on the flank where he leads his man to over run the ball and falls into Jack's hands, turns around and kicks it to the top of the punt road end goal square where Dion Prestia awaits and kicks a goal just on the end of the 3rd quarter; BOY OH BOY WAS THAT LOUD!
Just watched this game last night and was going to post in this thread this exact moment. Thought I'd better go through and see if anyone else had the same feeling. Tight game for 2 ans bit quarters, game in the balance, and this play sent us on our way.

I think I hit the coffee table so hard the chips container went flying (wife shakes head!).

I think I've typed this somewhere before, but, bugger it, I'll type it again - for me the moment that I suggest everyone should seek out. All you have to do is click on the replay of the 3rd in the GF. The context was a burning memory of watching our captain looking nervous (dare I say it, even scared) as the team ran out to play North in 2015.

Back to the moment this year and, just as the ball is about to bounce to start the premiership quarter, the camera zooms in on Cotchin who looks calm and confident. He nods to someone off camera (I'm guessing Dusty, but we'll never know). Moments later he lays a crunching tackle to win the clearance and kicks it forward. Jack takes a screamer. Match over.

Yes! Love this moment — there's even the hint of a smile on his face. Brilliant.

Towno soccering the opening goal v Geelong. Massive roar and a genuine feeling of “**** me I reckon this is going to really happen”.

Geelong vs Richmond (home game Geelong at the MCG!). Q3 and Geelong have kicked the last 3 goals. Motlop cleans up an errant pass coming out of the Richmond defensive 50 and sends a low pass into the F50. Titch cuts it off, and we regain composure with a switch to the MCC flank.

5.30 remaining in Q3, Martin marks outside 50, plays on on his left hand side, takes the hit as he kicks and Titch marks inside 50. Titch goes backs and slots it!

I'e been a supporter and detractor of Titch over the years. Very creative, but unreliable from a set shot when younger. He then improved his set shot, but seemed to have lost that accuracy this year. Was good to see him (and probably a better example being Houli in the GF) of experienced players taking on responsibility to work hard at both ends of the ground.

That moment when you knew IT was in the bag. For some it may have been early third quarter, others might not have known until late in the game. But we all had that moment at some point.
Mine was the GF parade. All over red rover. What a feeling :D

Yep exactly, and every Adelaide player that had the camera on them was yelling, trying to pump team mates up.

That goal is one of my fav’s. Typified our game style, Butler Kicks it to dangerous spot, Riewoldt competes knowing he couldn’t mark it, brings to ground, classy handball from Grigg to Lambo and the roar from crowd was extra loud because we’d opened them right up.

Towno shoving crouch into the ground with one of the best tackles i've seen
We recruited him for his tackling (chief video highlight package getting ? Griffin when he was at the dogs) and he laid the tackle that changed everything in the game. After that point we made our charge. He really makes opposition players think twice when they attack the ball. Brilliant moment.

He looked past Nankervis and straight ahead. If you look at where they were positioned, the nod was to Jack Graham. The message was clear: Unleash Hell.

I think that was to Nank because then the tap went cotch's way (even though it went over his head)

How good was this finals series? When I lay on my death bed one day I will re-call this September as one of the greatest times of my life. I remember walking into the Geelong game and there was feeling that something special was brewing - I just didn't know how great it was. I reckon Lamberts goal is the one for me - it was the moment I realised we were on our way and this team was truly special. Not special like 1995, 2001 (battler special) but a genuine premiership special. It's almost weird watching the team come back to training now. Almost like it's all passed and we're all back to square one. I just want to feel on top of the world like I did on Grand Final day again.

Yep something just felt a little different. I remember being ridiculously hyped up for the QF. At the time I passed it off as just being stoked to be there, but I think deep down there might have been some belief rumbling.

After watching the Geelong, GWS and Adelaide replays again, how frikkin sweet is it watching the opposition teams implode.

In the last quarter, Tom Hawkins is losing it with his team mates, in the GF, I think Walker or Lever were cracking the shits with team mates as well.

So great to watch again and again and again.

Finally on leave and doing the same.

Loved it when Mick Malthouse presented the medal and Dimma faked the hand shake and gave him a hug.
SO nice being able to finally watch these in peace and see the things I missed when I watched them live.
