Greatest Wrestler Tournament

Hogan
And for those who voted for the rock, Couldn't have seen much of Bret Hart.
I saw both. Bret was in the shadows of Hogan in the early days as an entertainer and was largely a tag team participant. Came into his own when others left and when finally given a push.

Point of order however, it does say greatest 'wrestler' not 'entertainer' and plenty of votes have been based on entertainment factor.

So are we looking for the greatest wrestler in terms of technical ability or the greatest wrestler in terms of the whole package. IMO a wrestler is a package of technical ability and entertainment ability. Otherwise, we should be looking at the Olympics and amateur wrestling leagues, with various holds and submission moves, rather than drop kicks, suplexes that require the opponent to submit and assist etc.

If we are looking at technical ability then Kurt Angle would probably win hands down and Chris Benoit would not be eliminated already.

The only Olympic Gold medallist in grace the WWE ring, Kurt Angle is a phenominal athlete. He is one of the greatest in ring technicians of all-time, and has the mic skills and charisma to back it up.

With his run in WWF/E Kurt Angle accomplished as much as any before moving to the TNA promotion after issues with the company. Still in his prime, Angle will accomplish alot more before it comes to an end.

One of the most charismatic wrestlers in history, Michael puts on a show in and out of the ring.

His career has been ultra successful throughout, and he came back from the brink and a very nasty back injury to return to the sport a few years back.

Michaels will go down in history, and is a dead set certainty to be named in the WWE Hall of Fame when he retires. He is currently out due to a knee injury.

Round 1 Shawn Michaels defeated Dean Malenko 7-0

Round 2 Shawn Michaels defeated Roddy Piper 8-0

Round 3 Shawn Michaels defeated Goldberg 8-0

One of the most celebrated wrestlers in history, Stone Cold is based on a red neck who takes no crap from nobody, and plays it well.

Started out with a little success in the WCW, before crossing to WWF and pitching the Stone Cold persona, and becoming an instant superstar.

After an extremely successful run, and the greatest feud in history, Stone Cold bowed out due to neck and back injuries.

Probably the face of wrestlin today, HHH has been a loyal servent of the WWE since 1995, after a brief stint with WCW.

Triple H possesses everything a superstar needs to possess. Brilliant ring skills, brilliant mic skills, brilliant acting skills, and the ability to play the bad and good guy.

Triple H has had huge success as a singles competitor and holds the record for Heavyweight Titles in the WWF/E.

Round 1 Triple H defeated Sabu 7-0
