what is peoples feelings on wandellas little predicament with the vcfl. you would assume they knew the player in question was registered with kerang for the last few seasons, so you would also assume that is where they would seek his clearance from? apparently not

When is the issue likely to be resolved? Are they at risk of losing premiership points and/or fines?
\

Watch this space and watch how the Board dont have the balls to take away premiership points. A fine? you would be joking.
Will Doc Turvey & Condely use media and bullshit to get out of this one?

Or will it be a case of a KD and co try to sweep this one under the carpet.

Maybe we should call the board "The GRFL Trowell" smooth things over again?

The vcfl wants to take the points off them for the first 2 rounds and fine them $500. Think the hearing is/was today. Think Keith is flat out trying to sweep it but i don't think the vcfl would listen to his crap

You would think that if clubs wanted to recruit players then every t would be crossed and i dotted. If you don't then you leave yourself open to this sort of dilemma. An oversight most likely but rules are there to abide by. That said Wandella will still be top 2 even if they lose those points.

if wandella lose the appeal my calculations say they will be in 5th spot on the ladder not 2nd. points should go to macorna and quamby.

The grapes must be sour out your way,the player was registered with kerang with one name and with the poineers with another and vcfl allowed it to happen thats were the problem started.so be for you start bagging volunteers at club levels maybe point the finger at the 5 or 6 paid officials who ok the clearance be for it gets to club level!!

What sort of a dumb person he must be if he doesn't even know what his name is, or registered under? I think all registered players with the VCFL are issued with a card and registration number. But then again we are talking about a dumb footballers arent we. No sour grapes ruddi, just tired of dealing with incompetent people that waste peoples time, Eg Doc, Brett, KDH, bout time the GRFL Trowell had some new faces that grow some balls. And just top top it off maybe some of these footballers buy a mirror and have a good look at themselves and forget about their ego's

so whats everyones thoughts on the first half of the year?

murrabit obviously the favourite but good to see they arnt unbeatable
wandella and nully will clearly play finals
will be interesting to see who makes the 4th spot

Would have to favour Macorna after wins over Nully & Wandella in their last 2 starts

Wakool have knocked off Nully, went down to Wandella by a goal and seemed to push Murrabit on the weekend so they won't be too far off 4th spot either. Games between Macorna, Wakool and Quamby will go a long way to deciding 4th spot.

How are Hay Lions going?? Is Ash Germano getting a kick??

Due to MDBA Water Buyback uncertainty Hay like a lot of Riverina club's are struggling in senior competition.

But back at Under 17's it needs to be noted Jack Morrison of Hay, kicked 44 goals in 2 matches (24 away against Wakool and 20 at home against Moulamien)

Got 3 today in windy condition against better opposition (Murrabit)

Worth an opportunity at a higher level, smaller sized forward (Paul Hudson, LeCras, Darren Jarmen size) has a good mix of aerial and ground skills plus good goal sense. Kicks 40-45m OK

All skills could probably be developed a lot further in a more competitive environment in a higher population center.

If Hay are struggling for numbers to make up the reserves they should consider transferring to the slightly weaker Northern Riverina Football League, where the reserves competition was abandoned several years ago.

The NRFL has a similar netball and junior football setup. The travelling would be similar, with trips to Hillston and Barellen shorter and on better roads than anything Hay have to endure in the GRFL.

Travelling to Cobar is a problem for all clubs in the NRFL, and for Hay would not be an exception - however at least they don't play in the junior football or netball comps.

It should be noted that the 24 goals were kicked in a game that had 8 players on the field for each team! That's right a total of 16 players on the ground instead of 36!!!! It wasn't even a proper game, don't you need 12 from each team to constitute a game??????
