Hard to say mate, but usually the winner comes from a side who finishes just below the top, as the top sides usually have several dominant players. Eg: Murrabit would have Hayes again, Henry, McGowan, Millard Boys all stealing votes off each other. I personally think Mitrovic from Macorna will win it this year. WHat are other peoples thoughts??

Yes Mitrovic for me too. by a margin.

Big game this sat between nully and wandella battling it out for second spot. Loser facing a rejuvenated macorna in an elimination final. i would have to give macorna an evens chance of winning that too.

Maybe nully by 7 pts.

Yeah Nully for me. Too many bigger bodys for Wandella, altough Wandella are a very dangerous side. I heard lachy bott did his knee. Anyone know how bad it is?
 
Not too good by all reports. Season over. Shit news for Botty and Wandella. But still a fair side all the same. Might be pushing it uphill from now on with the whisper of a few injuries at the wrong end of the season.

Looks to be a good finals series with Macorna sneaking in. Won't be just making up the numbers either. This years Premier will certainly have to work for it. Great for the GRFL as a whole.

Go into the last round even on points, with wandella to play ultima and nully have macorna. Only 6 % separating the sides at moment. Both sides still to play ultima so they should gain roughly the same percentage. It will come down to the Mac v nully game I guess.
I'm confused.

Yeah I'm confused too. I am just going to wait until the end of the last round and just see what happens. I was a bit surprised Wandella bet Nullawil as easy as they did. Anyone watch the game? Grand Final at Ultima again this year! Thoughts?
 
With finals approaching the final 4 are set with only 2nd and 3rd to come down to the wire in the last 2 rounds. Who are everyone's thoughts on the following regarding players-
Most Improved:
Most Consistent:
Best Recruit:
Most Courageous:
Rising Star:
 
Well the final 4 is set! Wandella very unlucky not to scrape into 2nd spot, missing out on 1.1% against Nully. Surely they shouldnt have any trouble accounting for Macorna on the weekend?? Murrabit Nully will be a great game too. 1 point the difference last time they met, and the only side to knock the blues off this year. It all makes for a much anticipated final series....a lot more even than the previous couple of years with Wandella being the dominant team.
My Grandfinalist predictions
Seniors: Murrabit vs Nullawil
Seconds: Nullawil vs Ultima
Thirds: Hay vs Wandella
Fourths: Wandella vs Hay

Any thoughts???

Well Wandella simply too good on Saturday! 1 qtr is all it took them to put 10 goals on the tigers! Murrabit surprised many in the seconds by thrashing a confident Ultima, and the blues advanced in both the thirds and fourths. Could Murrabit do the Quadrella?
 
Another cracker of a game yesterday by all reports. Murrabit through to the big dance with Wandella and Nully to face off at Hay. No doubt that will be hard fought. Be interesting to see who will take the title this year, I think Murrabit will be deserved favorites. What are others' thoughts on how it may pan out?

Yeah Murrabit should be favourtites...only lost 1 game through the year, but they are very beatable as seen on the weekend. I was very disapointed in the league with how it handles the scoreboard fiasco. Allday the same bloke was on there on his own and kept f%^&ing the score up!! Guys its a finals game, players depend on the scoreboard, and for it to be wrong countless times during the game, without anyone stepping in was a joke. Keith should be ashamed!

Heard today there was a bit of miscommunication between goal and boundary ump on the same play? Goal umpire called a point but boundary ump called on the full? Not entirely sure but any clarification by anyone there would be great.
 
Scoreboard attendant, is after all, a voluntary position. But the League should be definately looking at maybe slipping a bloke a Pineapple to do the Seniors. Proof being on the weekend at what could happen. But kudos to the person who had a go.

Couldnt agree more! I think it will now be a requirement to have 2 guys on the scoreboard in finals. Just incase one nods off for a few seconds
 
Yeah it's an absolute joke. Hay should leave the league. Obviously they have great juniors. but keeping them is another thing. If they want a final, they can host one at another ground, exactly like Central Murray do in the Grand Final.
