I <3 this game.

About 6 hours game play. 11.56% done. I've just done the
Romans Sorrow
mission.

I like the driving now that I've worked it out. The graphics are unbelieveably good as is the game play. I'm not a fan of the cover system though. Good idea but poorly implemented.

By the way, how long did it take people to complete the
Three Leaf Clover mission, you know, where you rob the bank & then have to shoot your way past a myriad of cops?
?

I can't seem to get it..
Haven't tried it without armour yet, maybe this is the key.

Made it to
the subway without it, then got pegged.
Much further to go after that?
 
There's a heap of cops in the subway to take out before you do a runner up the tracks. When you get out of the subway you have to find a car and escape from the cops with a 4 star wanted level, they'll be throwing everything at you, M16's, shotties, the lot. So yeah, there's a bit to go.

Without the armour, 1 shottie blast out of the blue and you're in serious trouble.

Oh and here's a tip, when you reach the edge of the 4 star police alert circle, jump out and run outside of the circle. You'll lose the cops and get the "lose a 4star wanted level" achievement (on 360 of course)
 
I did the Three Leaf Clover mission first go.
I bought armour and a couple of grenades from the gun store and then made my way to the bank.
Soon after the cut scene finishes and you take Niko's role, throw a grenade to blow up the cop cars outside. It will kill most of the cops without you having to leave cover.
Just follow the McGrearys around and take out cops. The subway isn't too hard. When you start running along the tracks, stay on the left hand-side if you don't want to get cleaned up by a train. There is a health-pack next to the staircase leaving the subway if you need it.
Soon as you breach the surface, look right and there should be an SUV. Just drive like a mad-man and you should make it. :thumbsu:

shit yeh!!!! You gotta get them home. A tip: the car is a bit hard to find, it's not right at the exit, you have to do some running. Once in the car, the heat is intense, you have to break barriers, but my advice would be don't try and "lose" them; just go hell for leather for the destination, you'll lose them reasonably quickly, if you just keep an eye on the map for other cops who may come from different directions - avoid them of course

To tell you the truth, I didn't bother driving towards the destination, I just drove on big straight roads for as long as I could, and once I lost the cops I just caught a cab to the destination with the brothers.
Another few tips if you get really stuck:
- date Kiki. You can find her on the Love Match site on the internet. After a while you can call her to lose a few stars off your wanted level.
- Soon as you get in the car, use your checkpoint and place it on a pay-and-spray and drive your car into it to lose a few stars.
- There's the possibility that your wanted level has gone down from 5 stars to 3 as you are in the subway, so when you breach the surface, dont shoot the cops - just run straight for the SUV. (although I didn't have a single cop when I came out).
 
I had a thought about the future developments of the GTA series. This could be dangerous (my thinking that is)

It would be great if you could shoot a rocket into a wall and the bricks and building blow up realistically.

If you were in multi-player and some shmuck is hiding behind a wall you could just blow it up!

that reward? 250K? Crazy! As I've now unlocked the third island.. I believe..
I'm taking some time off the main story to get acquainted with the multiplayer function.
Absolutely crazy stuff!
