Unfortunately it just happens. The scratch is always within an inch of the inner part of the disc surface (read side of the disc). Its a perfect circle as well, like you have used a compass to draw it.

I had bio shock ruined by this. All my other 360 games have the scratch but the games still work (some of them intermittently). When Bioshock became a coaster I didn't renew my XBL and got a ps3. Now the 360 is chipped and I torrent my games so I don't waste money on something that will get scratched and could become unusable (like bio shock).

Microsoft don't want to know about the problem because the console is over 12 months old

Suprised you haven't heard of it before because its been pretty widely reported. With that said you seem to be sweet so its all good for you.

Yeah I have heard of it, just don't understand it.

My brother doesn't move his at all, yet now when he loads GTA4 up it crashes after about 3 minutes due to the huge scratches on the disc. Simply not moving the console when it's on doesn't mean you won't get scratches.

It must be subject to some movement, either that or the unit is faulty and the disk is wobbling for some inexplicable reason...

Just did the strip club mission, failed it the first time cos i got 3 ____ing stars which made it basically impossible.

Same happened to me first time, but second time I didn't get ANY stars. Just went in like mother____ing terminator and took the place apart really quickly with grenades and shit. ____ING ALPHA.

Haha thats similar to my next go, went in with the shotgun went crazy and got no stars

only if you save the game with the cheats on. on 360 the cheats block some of the achievements but only if you save with the cheats. you can have 1 game with cheats and 1 without if you wanted to

I love riding the motorcycles in this game.

The physics in this game are truly spectacular, I can't believe it. Maybe it's because I've been playing Super Smash Bros Brawl for a few weeks before I played this.

I killed playboy cause I wanted his apartment (you coudl tell you could get it because of the parking out the front) - and then I ditched that Dwayne mope who keeps calling me asking me to take him out for beers - I been too busy hanging with the irish guy and the jamaican though, and brucie lol

Finished it few hours ago, was a great experience while it lasted. Seemed to be a bit shorter then San Andreas, but it made up for it in every aspect.

Just out of curiousity how many hours did you rack up on it and what was the percentage total for game completion (I presume its like the others where you can finish the game but be no where near 100% due to all the side missions etc).

I'm sure this has been done to death, but what makes this game better than San Andreas?

I don't have a PS3 and have actually busted out San Andreas for another go because of all this GTA 4 talk.

I am a GTA addict and have completed all the titles 100%. I was just wondering if anyone could fill me in.
