The best part of the game for mine was seeing the youngsters not allow Sydney to bully us.

Pretenders like Parker and Papley tried to do it early, and obviously Franklin targeted Hodge. But they didn't let it get to them and dished it back.

I'd love to know what Mitchell said to Jones at HT. I only heard the end and he said something about going missing.

It's easy to start the niggle - the important is how you respond when it's retaliated.
Our guys have done it so well.

In the game day thread Dixie Flatline made this comment
"Loved Brand's impersonation of Brian Lake to take that mark in the contest in the second quarter. Just quietly it deflated his opponents a fraction"
That was a chest mark, in the last he did a similar thing where he seemed out of the contest, then stuck his arms up and took a great grab.

He is developing well, if he wants to be our new Brian Lake he needs one more thing, those killer eyes,
not the bedroom type of Will Langford but those killer eyes that would scare opponents into questioning
the psychopathic nature of Brian Lake.

I was a doubter of Brand but it appears we may have a quality player on our hands here.

Don't forget "Brands Bargains."

Glass and Howe have that big body mid look about them, even if they play poorly they can still lay a tackle and be strong defensively, when they play well they also have attacking weapons at their disposal, which gives them 2-way football unlike the the smaller players who when they play poorly they lack defense and attacking weapons

McEvoy has been huge this year, next year with Ceglar he will have more of a chop out

Buddy had a very poor game, which was lucky for us, but Champion players cant play well every week, our defense and mid defense kept his opportunities down also

im a big believer in aggression wins you finals, so seeing Sicily and Howe always willing to get into a tangle with the opposition is great, football is a mental game and if you can get into the head of your opponent you go a long way towards winning.

im still not totally sold on Hartung yet and Henderson looks like he is running out of puff

i hope Hardwick is ok after the concussion, he is Mr 1%er in the backline, reminds me of Andy Collins at times

McVeighs sooking and being "incensed" by the Langford kiss is no different to the Excuses given for guys who bash other guys on a night out.
It's actually kind of disgusting the way the media are backing him

How is that ferret Mark Stevens trying to ping Hodge on tummy punch. What crap. Hodge was extending his arm across to block the player running past. There was no ****** punch Stevens you twerp

I have had the pleasure of playing cricket against Stevens a few times last season, and I can honestly you will not meet a shitter human.

Called the deaf team (top blokes to a man) in our league a bunch of ret**ds amongst so many other shit things. He's a rubbish bat and bowler too FWIW.

oh this is so good.

Already been sucked in once and now goes with whole "how dare he do that to someone like ME!"

Haha disrespectful.

McVeigh spends all night mouthing off to opposition players and then complains about lack of respect? Grow some balls McVeigh.

Being at the game I got to see a lot of Connor. Geez this kid is going to be a player! The way he knows where to be and what he has to do - he has excellent vision and instincts for the game. In a couple of years he's going to one of our very best if he sticks with us.

What do you mean if?

****en idiot and his teammates actually plan to talk trash and target opposition players but can't take a bit back.

He reacted to being kissed the first time by giving a free kick away. Langford's tactic worked. Deal with it, dickhead.
Some Swans fans in their autopsy thread are legitimately arguing that McVeigh should've been awarded a free for high contact and others claiming he should be charged with assault "because it would be if you did it to a girl in a bar". Hilarious.

Oh, FFS. Do they want some tissues, or cheese, with that whine?

I reckon if you tackled a girl in a bar you'd also be in a bit of trouble - maybe we should have received a free kick every time they tackled?

Where does JK Senior and Jeans fit it??????

I think Billy has, or is moving up to the next level as this year progresses. Seems to be showing more composure and confidence each game. Two great marks against Freo last week were a first for him, and should build belief. Wasn't bed in a very physical game last night.
