Haileybury Vs Geelong

Been played tomorrow at Haileybury College at 2pm. What are ur thoughts on the game. Do Geelong have any players good enough to stop Haileybury or will it be another white wash like last time this teams met???

Geelong has proven to be a quality side and with a record of 5 and 2 clearly desrerve to be in the top 4. The school offers not 1 scholarship for anything unlike the other 4 teams who recruit their players.
Tomorrows game will be alot closer than people think with Geelong at full strength, having all of their top players fully fit and injury free this time.

Haileybury 9.11.65

Massive upset. Haileybury led by 34 points in the second quarter, scoreline read 6.6.42 to 1.2.8 but Geelong thrashed Haileybury from that point on, kicking 14 of the last 17 goals. Haileybury led by 1 point at the final change (9.9 to 9.8), but Geelong had all the momentum and ended up running all of over them in the last quarter.
 
it was played at Haileybury's main, which makes the win even better.
haileybury did have alot players out..around 7 regulars, and im sure that other haileybury posters will use that as an excuse but its no excuse, especially the fact they were up by 6 goals in the 2nd quarter, without those players playing. geelong were just brilliant and definitely deserved the win. they havent played scotch yet this year, but that game could decide the premiership.
 
Huge win by us, everyone played an unreal game.

Looks like Scotch vs Hailbury won't be the GF.
 
Not Necesarrily. If scotch beat geelong and hailebury beat Xavier. Then xavier beat geelong next week then it will still be a gradfinal. Won't it?

Im assuming that in a tie the team that won int eh finals wins overall. there could be a 3 way tie which means it would come down to percentage.

Hardly likely if Scotch are undefeated.It means that Scotch have won the premiership whatever happans in the last 2 rounds.

There coach did a great job and made the right moves when he had too
haileybury was totally out coached and they didn't play like a team at all
yes they had a few players out but where 30 points in front and should have never let Geelong back in the game
Geelong played, fast play-on football and Haileybury didn't have any game plan at all

They are not the TEAM they should be

Very poor coaching
 
What specifically did Lynch get wrong? I saw haileybury lose to MGS last year and felt he coached badly that day as well.
Who else were you missing, apart from the VIC METRO u16 boys lynch and vickery?

Lynch let Geelong play Schofield loose in defence from quarter time onwards, who rebounded the ball every time it reached the Hailebury forward line. There was no accountablity by the hailebury players through the midfield, as the Geelong boys ran it through the corridor all day

Blueboys1, you have been posting rubbish all the year. You are not a First XVIII player yet you now want to blame the coach who has forgotten more about football than you will ever know. Either be positive about your school or take up tiddlywinks as a sport. You might do well at that.

I can tell you he had a bad day on Saturday and I didn't just blame the coach
I'm not a First XVIII player but I have seen most games and know when a team has been out coached
