However, in saying that with four class midfielders to come back ... Cross, Higgins, Gia and Griffen he needs to continue to serve up what he displayed tonight consistently.

As what usually happens when the side does OK Eagleton gets on the end of it and today thankfully could finish. The thing is in this game we got quite a few from 50 to 55 out on the run. This does not happen against better sides as that is the space that good sides know to clog up against us. Hence Eagleton struggles without a clear run at it. Unfortunately he is a one trick pony.

He was good tonight. His 2nd long range goal when he ignored Aker ,I yelled at the tv "that ****ing better go through." And it did.

I thought Eagle was good last night and performed his role well. His three goals were invaluable. He always seems to play extremely well at the Gabba. Not sure why that is. Maybe the ground suits his game, or maybe it is because we usually play well there. Anyway, he has earnt his game for next week.

You might want to cast your mind over the last 13 season, and then ask yourself the Question "Is Nathan Eagleton really a One Game wonder?" I think you might change your tune.

Sure he has up's and downs, but so does every player in the comp, including Judd, Ablett and Goodes.

P.S No way am I comparing him with those 3 guys, but merely stating that all palyers have a form slumop every now and then.

Yeah, that's what I would like to know. I only saw it on TV but noticed Eagleton lining up on Drummond in the final quarter, and also a few times Eagleton hanging out in open space.

I was very critical of his game last week, however he was magnificent last night and thats why Eade decides the team. A definite player for finals

I am not big fan of him but bit dissapointed when this board basing him. Some of the criticism way over the top. Someone say he's got the long goal only when we 8 goals up but not yesterday. And also without the long goals our percentige isn't healthy. Even yesterday's performance people are still sarcastic I don't know it is the way of supporting the club. Anyway, not sure next year but he's better than the youngsters IMO.

I'll tell you who reminds of Eagleton at the moment, Gram. Very good kick, gut runs out of packs to get loose and is a pretty good finisher although they never get contested possies.
