Apparently there was a documentary on Hawthorn last night after their brave semi final exit. Anyone watch it?

You know you've been stuck in the shitter when a semi-finals loss to Poort is enough to put out a documentary. It's Saints and Freo level.

Hope it showed Kenny doing the aeroplane dance.

They need to release it on DVD with the title:

"The Semi"

Which is coincidentally what TazHawk15 gets when his mum brings dinner

Today I logged in for the first time since 2020.
I gravitated to this thread and seeing it in its glory brought me many memories, but also makes me realise the more things change the more they stay the same. You may not remembered me, but I remember you all B13 family ❤️

Its all about giving the people want they want? Your lucky we only made a semi final, if it was the grand final they would of made a 3 part movie!

Tasmania Devils CEO Brendon Gale has made it clear; his vision for the club doesn’t include sharing the state with Hawthorn.

Gale expressed his desire for Tasmania to fully embrace its own AFL team, moving beyond its long-standing partnership with the Hawks.

“My wish as the CEO of the Tasmania Devils is there will be a time when that (partnership) will come to an end,” he said on SEN Tassie's The Devil's Advocate.

“Because we are the Tasmania Devils, this is our home.

“There’s a lot of Hawthorn supporters (in Tasmania) who have done a fantastic job over 25 years, and rather than losing something, I think they are going to win so much more,” he added.

“Because it won’t be Hawthorn playing small market teams.

“It will be Tasmania playing Collingwood or Carlton or Essendon.”

“Hawthorn’s future in Launceston will be a matter for Hawthorn, their board, the Launceston city council, and the state government to decide."

the dingley tip upgrade is looking good - keen to see the hawks there soon!

I would side with Hawthorn in this shitfight if it wasn't for the serial pest TazHawk15

As it stands though Bay Geelong Flogs are getting more obnoxious and arrogant so it's getting a close call now

Good luck with that Benny Gale, the state of Tassie is tinpot/skint, Hawthorn will still play home games where whilst the Hawks pump money into their coffers every season

Gale's bit of a turnip tbh. No wonder he was rejected to replace Gil at the AFL

Makes sense - a lot of Hawthorn fans also want to leave. Four of the last 5 MCG (home and away games - not finals) have drawn 75,000 plus, the other drew 59,000. We don’t need Tasmania and they don’t need us.

Richmond v Hawthorn - 92,311
Hawthorn v Collingwood - 74,171
Carlton v Hawthorn - 84,733
Hawthorn v Richmond - 58,231
Hawthorn v Essendon - 80,735

Its worked for Hawthorn and its worked for Launceston, now they need to get behind the Devils - no point having a big brother in their turf taking their following (like St George and Cronulla in the rugby)

Bring the games back to Melbourne - even if they are at Marvel. It helps everyone with scheduling and means Geelong can waive their right to Easter Monday and play 11 games at Cat Park :thumbsu: Hawks v Tigers or Blues keeps the G for the co-tenants.

When the Cats eventually get done for salary cap cheating, Hawks v Cats at Marvel will be perfect - as it was before 2007.
