Look at Great Grand Final teams in the past... Namely, Carl '95 and Bris 01-03.

Then compare these hacks who stole a premiership from a bunch of PUSSY cats.

I, as a Carlton and AFL fan feel "cheated" (no pun intended) as the best side this year didn't win the premiership. This winning dawk team has been a blight on the game and has shift the importance of the grand final winning team for season 2008

I feel sorry for people like buckley, r. harvey, s.west. They did not know after all those games that they would be perceived as failures due to their miserable respective teams. They would never get to experience the jubilation as a Luke Hodge, with his limited talent yet outside ball winning ablilty, would experience...

This is a very ordinary team, i'm sure even the most gayest of hawthomanian supporters would have to agree...

I know in 3-4 years time people will remember the 08 season as the season that the pussies choked.

I tend to lean towards the hawks as the worse, followed closely in equal second place, Pies and Port.

It took a flashy first year player and a lard-a$$ to turn the game. How often could you depend on this happening...

Forget the fact that geelong tucked their knobs in between their legs on GF day, is this "so called" Premiership Team possibly the worst Grand Final Winners in the history of our wonderful game...

A truly insightful message from a brilliant poster, I could hardly agree more. I actually would go as far as saying Hawthorn are the worst team in 150 years to win the premiership, and went as far as to start a thread about it.

Initially I was unsure, because I thought surely someone MAY have been a BIT shitter. Collingwood 1990 possibly? However, according to this poll my thoughts have been justifed. Hawthorn are even worse, and the most disgraceful club to hold up the cup of all time.

If we are the worst team to win a premiership in 150 years then what does that say about the Geelong football club?

I mean, Geelong couldn't of played any better, their best player played as bout as good as he possibly could whilst our star players had absolutely no influence on the game and yet we still managed to comprehensive defeat you. Congratulations on dominating the All-Australian team and thank you for being a team of individuals and bad luck to Gary Ablett on not winning the Norm Smith or Brownlow Medal. It was enough to make a grown man cry.

We are a happy team at Hawthorn,
The greatest club in the AFL/VFL for the last 50 years.

I'd rather be the worst premiership side ever than the best team over 2 seasons who only win one flag - or better still, be like Essendon and dominate 3 seasons and only get 1.

I guess some teams are just winners and other are losers....

Things obviously started going wrong for you when "you started thinking".

Hawks had a 17 win 5 loss season.

Hawks destroyed the team that finished 3rd.

Then destroyed the team that finished 4th.

Then went on to beat a team in the GF that 90% of the Footy world thought were unbeatable.
