IN Litherland, Roughead, Sewell
OUT Duryea, Suckling, O'Brien

Langford stays. One of the few positives against the Dockers.
Hale needs to show something this week or we may as well hand the reins to Ceglar.

Might sound a little harsh but, these are the changes i want for this week,

Shoe ommited (nothing against him just for match ups), sucking inj, durea and o brien omitted Hale 1 last chance, you either put in and stand up or Ceglar is the man.

In: Rough, Spanger (defensive foward role on Taylor, dont let taylor mark and always make the contest to bring it down to ground level.
), Sewell and liqualand.

Out: TOB, hale, suckling (if injured) or Duryea
In: ruff, ceglar and lither

I don't mind simpkin as sub but think it's unfair to only keep getting a 1/4 football each week - play a game at box hill and give billy a run if he has been travelling ok at box hill

Pretty sure Simpkin would rather the be the sub than running around at Box Hill.

My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember .......... nah, I got nuthin'.

Just felt some affinity with your sig mate, or at least most of it.:(

I think it has become clear that Gibbo is not going to be able to take the big guys for the rest of the year. Shoey and Lake to play on Hawkins and the resting ruckman while Gibbo takes Kersten. Duryea to stay in and play sucklings role while Litherland comes in to play on Christensen et el. Hale out. Have been a big fan but he just can't seem to move. So Cegs in for him.

1st quarter we were winning clearances and dominated the game
2nd, 3rd and 4th we got smashed in the clearances and were never really a chance to win it.

It was won and lost in the middle. Both of our ruckman were terrible. If your ruckman is going to give you minimal output in terms of hitouts and clearance advantage, then he needs to be dangerous around the ground. We did not get that from Big Boy or Hale today.

Answer = Ceglar. Our best tap ruckman by far. Help us in the clearances and break even with McIntosh around the ground.

He might prefer it but it might be better for him match fitness wise to play a full game than less than a quarter like he did on Sunday. Having said that he may stay in the team and someone else be made the sub rather than going back to Box Hill.

Not sure yet what changes I would make but I suspect Spangher is no certainty to be available, when has a calf injury ever been a one weeker? Especially as he has had calf problems a couple of times already this year.

We should be bringing the ball to ground as much as possible as both Roughie and Gunners are as good on the ground as they are in the air. If we can keep the ball on the deck, I'd back our forwards in more often than not.

Lower the eyes, and if we need to bomb it in, push it towards the boundary. reduces the Cats options in terms of running it out and more chance to lock it in and push for stoppages.

This is so important.. Don't just bomb it in long as we always do against Geelong because they just love it when we do it.
And before you know it the ball is outta there.. It happens time and time again especially against the cats. So why do we keep doing it?

Now, the matching of Spangher on Taylor is interesting, and could even be a game breaker. Has Taylor had a defensive forward to deal with previously?

I reckon it's a great idea. Make Taylor accountable, but we also have to ensure we use Spangher as lot too to ensure Taylor stays with him, drag Taylor out of the F50 as much as possible.

Spang is not good enough to make Taylor accountable.

We need Taylor's opponent, Roughead or Gunston, to play a sacrificial role for the team and take him away from the play to give the other forwards a good crack at atleast bringing the ball to ground. If we can stop the Geelong defenders taking intercept marks I will back Pops and Breust and even Rough and Gunston to get it done if the ball in on the ground.

Too much Duryea hate in this thread. Very rarely has his colours lowered.

I find it weird that Duryea is getting a game over Litherland when I think Lither offers more rebound and offense.

It seems that Litherland has been punished for failing to contain players he shouldn't have been on in the first place.

I don't see the coaches asking Duryea to take Pavlich and then dropping him when Pavlich dominates him.

I think you are underselling Spanger, he can take a contested mark and if you dont pay him attention he can easly slot 2 or 3 goals.

Harry allows his opponent to run off - he figures they can't do any damage outside 50 and has enough belief in himself that he has you covered if the need arises. It needs to be someone who can hurt you from outside 50

Shoey! Mighty boot on him!

If Shoey is allowed to run around without an opponent he will cause havok as he can kick long over zoning defenders or hit up short targets.

Does he have the confidence
