Awful effort after quarter time. No marking targets inside 50.

They need to think about bringing in Fitzpatrick for next week.
Sicily has been a solid target all year, and will come back in next week. Burton, Sicily and Gunston + the resting ruckman offers a variety of options for a forward entry.

Will be interesting to see if Burton holds his spot coming into September.

Not sure that's the solution. North played a spare defender and we never adjusted. Was pathetic how many times we went down this path. A Roughead would really help in organising it forward line.

We did well to regroup and keep their score low. A brilliant start shows we are capable. Funny how we forget our heroic win at the scg and the port victory the week before when they were on the verge of challenging. Granted we have been pretty poor since Sydney, yet we have only lost one game in the final minutes against a team that did everything right whilst we missed.

Liam shiels has been a significant out and will only get better for us when it matters. We have blooded plenty of kids this year and our veterans will give it one final almighty push for the unthinkable.

I anticipate a huge effort next week given that top four is still not secure.

Amazing period since the MITCHELL tackle on tuck in the middle of 2010. Cannot possibly complain.

Game of chocolates and boiled lollies - frustrating watching at times. That first quarter :hearts::hearts: and then the run stopped, the high long bombs started - was just weird and frustrating to watch. The forward line set up going forward is going to be interesting - does Burton stay in ahead of either TOB or Sicily

Would be nice to see 2 consecutive good quarters rather than these sporadic bursts they have.

Smith and Hill were good as was Breust so that's a bonus.

Eagles next week - going to be an interesting game

My perspective from the ground is that we had another two quarter casual patch. The side's intensity drops. Off the ball run goes down, fumbles start, indecision, and a general lack of aggression.

North didn't force their way back into the game. We opened the door and they walked through it. It's a patterns this year that when we should be putting our knees to the their throats, which we have in years past, we instead start to coast and then ride out the game. Maybe that's the plan to play loose when the game is in hand but it isn't a reassuring one.
